Tell me why you like them, what Headcanons you have for them, and what you wish other fans would do with this character??

The big one that spirals into a lot of supplementary headcanons is that he was built by Kalinka Cossack. Kinda. I once wrote (most of) a whole fic exploring this, actually, but my idea is that he was originally built by Kalinka about 50-ish years after X’s construction, but he was never actually fully finished. He was largely functional, but not complete, and then an accident happened at the lab and he was lost (Kalinka survived). Then years before X6, Gate discovered the ruined lab, discovered an inactive/broken Axl, and rebuilt him as a secret project, basically using him to prototype his ideas for replicating the parts of X and Zero’s systems he was most fascinated by. Then things happen, Axl ends up with Red Alert, so on and so forth.

Supplementary headcanon 1: Axl’s default language is Russian! He has a habit of muttering under his breath in it, and when woken up abruptly it takes him a minute to switch.

Supplementary 1.1: Axl’s handwriting is more of a broken cursive, which tends to surprise people who expect his penmanship to be chicken-scratch.

Supplementary 1.2: Axl writes notes to himself in Russian, and occasionally will submit reports in it as well—typically when he knows Palette is gonna be the one to have to deal with it; it drives her nuts and he thinks that’s hilarious.

Supplementary headcanon 2: Axl’s amnesia is due to the damage from the original lab explosion damaging certain chips in his CPU. Gate never managed to/never cared to fix them/never got around to fixing them.

Supplementary 2.1: Axl does dream—most of his dreams contain broken/fragmented snippets of memories, which his systems have adapted to, resulting in him having very vivid and strange dreams. Rarely super unpleasant, but they can be on occasion.

Other headcanons:

Axl and Palette view each other as siblings. I don’t ship them (I’m not bothered by others shipping them; I just don’t see it personally), instead I always see them as the classic, vitriolic near-in-age siblings who banter and bicker whenever they get the chance. One of the few times they aren’t bickering is if they’re teaming up to prank someone. If Axl and Palette are in the same room and are quiet, watch out.

Axl likes sweets and sodas, with a favorite being pineapple soda! Not sure why; I just see him really liking pineapple.

Axl technically has a criminal record, due to his past with Red Alert. I have a whole system of Maverick classification I’ve headcanoned, and by that system Axl was classified as a Class B, Type 3 (3A in a post-X7 revision of the system) Maverick.

He doodles when bored and has any paper nearby. He doesn’t think he’s very good, but he’s decent. If he doesn’t have anything nearby to doodle or fidget with, his default fidget is to run his fingers along his scars. (Definitely ADHD)

He also plays the drums! I like to imagine the Hunters have music jam nights or something on occasion, and Axl always jumps on the drums immediately. He’s also got a pretty decent tenor singing voice, but he prefers drumming.

He kept Red’s scythe after the events of X7; he occasionally trains with it when no one is looking—typically in the middle of the night when he’s missing Red a lot—but probably only X and maybe Zero know about it. He’s actually gotten quite good with it over the years.

So this is a big celebration set of fake screenshots I've been working on since Legends of Avantris hit the 15 million stretch goal to bring Starlight Brigade to the Neon Odyssey D&D books next year as a mini campaign! It's also a fun hypothetical headcanon idea of how Strive, Pyke and the Rhapsody crew could possibly meet. I'm imagining Strive unwillingly separated from the rest of the brigade/twrp crew, somehow ending up in the Rhapsody's neck of the galaxy and soon after being pursued by space pirates while dodging and weaving to escape. Pyke then takes off in his ship, the Sparrow, to engage in the coolest combat scenario in my head as Strive's ship doesn't have any weapons to fight back with. You should totally check out the music videos with these characters and maybe even watch a really cool D&D campaign too :)

X gets a doggie. Specifically he comes across one of those rescueable wolfloids you find in X6. It was the last one in what was the most dangerous area and was really beat up when X found em. He's surprised the dog didn't contract the virus that was floating around at the time. It was rushed, but X did manage to patch up the poor pupper and brought it somewhere safe.

After that though, the dog would start following X around during his missions, always close enough to see but far enough that X couldn't reach. X noticed, but he thought that the dog would wander off on its own. That didn't end up happening and once he recognized it was the same wolfloid he saved, X found an open space to try and approach the dog. Though the dog approached and even gave X's hand a sniff, it scurried off before X could give it a good scritch.

It became a kind of routine after that. The dog follows X, X finds an open spot, the dog approaches, the two get a little more comfortable (usually through treats and pets), and then they go their separate ways. But it got to a point where the dog didn't leave like X expected and just followed him even when he went back to Maverick Hunter HQ. At that point X stopped calling the wolfloid "the dog" and gave it a proper name.

I think it'd be funny if X named his dog Chiptune, but only ever uses one half of the name when he's around other people and confuses everybody. So far I'm thinking Chip will be one of those chill dogs that loafs around for the most part. Very smart, very loyal. Absolutely excellent companion for X since this is around the time he leaves the Hunters.

Here is a spreadsheet that lists every single Zelda enemy. It specifies what games they are and aren't found in - categorized into easily organizable and searchable columns.

You can filter by game, enemy, elements, body types, weapons, ranged attacks, and more! You can filter to just ice enemies, just plant enemies, just enemies that two or more specific games share, etc.

It's still a work in progress, but it's mostly done. See "status" below for what needs doing.

Please reblog or spread this around in other ways. I get no benefit out of how many people use this, but I want as many people as possible to have the opportunity to take advantage of this useful thing. And there's the possibility that more eyes mean catching more errors, thus improving the spreadsheet. (Please let me know if you see any.)

So it’s hard to see, but the gloom ONLY comes out of the arm when you get a Blessing of Light. It comes from Link’s whole body when you get a heart container. My theory remains that Link’s arm wasn’t removed, but was fused over by the Rauru arm (just like how Boko horns fuse over the blades of swords, but the blade will return if you remove the horn via inventory). Each blessing of light healed a little more of the gloom poisoning from the arm specifically, while the goddess gifts healed a larger amount towards restoring Link’s original (full) strength.

Soooo… I started Age of Imprisonment 😭
