Do not ever let reddit psyop actors tell you that contacting your representatives doesn't do anything because when both of my Democrat senators voted yes to confirm some of Trump's cabinet picks last year, many of us emailed them and asked "What the entire fuck?" and they listened. One voted no and the other abstained (not great but at least not a yes) for Markwayne Mullin (Trump's DHS pick). I am now emailing the 'no' voting Senator to thank him, and emailing the other to express concern but also thanking him that it at least was not a yes.

Senators are not politicians. I know that definitionally they are, but you can't think of them like that. A politician occupies a higher class than you, and makes you subconsciously defer to them. A senator is a public servant. A senator is YOUR public servant. You pay them, you own their ass. Go search up their number, and make it a contact in your phone. Every time you see a headline you don't like, you call them and you complain. What is your public servant doing while you aren't paying attention? These people got the position by being conniving cutthroat backstabbers, and you really can't trust them to do your will if you aren't paying attention. Micromanage. Check what bills they are proposing. Check what bill's they might be voting on. Tell them exactly how you want them to vote.
