The thing about Trump is like. You know those isekai stories where some Enlightened Modern Dude shows up in a "primitive" fantasy land and uses his superior knowledge and/or rationalism (if it's a rationalist fic) to solve all the problems and make stuff better with his Big Brain? Trump and doge and all that shit reminds me of how that would actually go. Everything these idiots do reminds me of some random truck-concussed guy pouring all of his energy into revolutionising trade via inventing railroads and firing all those clearly-corrupt officials who look down their noses at him only for some labourer to go "okay, where will we get the iron to build these tracks? The mines don't produce that much iron, I assume you've secured another source?" and then the whole nation collapsing because he had everyone capable of doing the accounting exiled and collapsed the church under the assumption that it must be pointless and stupid because he doesn't believe in their god and couldn't see at a cursory glance that it was doing anything useful.
