I love the idea of Mira being like both scarily protective of and incredibly soft for Her Girls and in the early days, Zoey and Rumi having already had the realisation that Mira is super soft and caring and compassionate but not quite yet getting how much more ok with physical contact Mira is than she lets on. So she won't initiate with people unless she's sure THEY'RE ok with it and they're not sure SHE'S ok with it so they're sort of all being a bit more careful around each other.
Then Zoey and Mira stay up late to watch a scary movie when they have a free evening- Rumi is invited but she says she's got work to do so she retreats to her room and Zoey and Mira decide to have this bonding experience they'd planned just the two of them: watching scary movies is A Thing teenage girls are meant to do and neither of them really go to do the whole sleepover thing anyhow so cool, they'll watch a scary movie.
Except it's just kind of bad timing- Zoey is exhausted from the gruelling week of training and rehearsal and acclimatizing to this new place and new people, fighting off home sickness for a home that never felt super homelike in the first place and also trying to manage all this new pressure on her- the knowlege that there are Real Life Monsters that want to kill her and everyone else and that it's her job to save everyone is A Lot, and watching what's recently become her real life play out on the screen just isn't fun, it's SCARY, but also what sort of demon hunter is scared of a MOVIE?
She's trying to hold it together but it's too hard and too much- the loneliess and the tiredness, the stress and the anxiety and now the fear from the movie-monsters and her shame at feeling it and her panic and guilt that this means she's going to let everyone down- and Mira eventually notices that Zoey is curled up under the pillow she's clinging to and not seeing to be really enjoying it and when she gets Zoey's attention, she can see Zoey's eyes are full of tears and she's shivering and looks so SAD and Mira is kind of horrified that she hadn't realised before how much Zoey wasn't enjoying it.
She asks if Zoey wants her to shut off the movie and Zoey nods.
She asks if Zoey's ok and she nods. Mira doesn't believe her.
She asks if Zoey's scared and Zoey nods again. A tear slides down her cheek. Mira's heart breaks a bit.
She's not even sure if Zoey even wants a hug from her but she holds out an arm anyway and Zoey inches closer.
When Mira cuddles her, Zoey feels herself starting to cry properly and Mira is just so warm and comforting and it makes her realise how AWFUL she'd been feeling- and when she's able to choke out a bit about how anxious she's been, how homesick and scared and tired, Mira is so understanding, as if she doesn;t at all think it's pathetic or proof that Zoey is going to be The Weak Link.
When Rumi steps out of her room, Zoey is curled up in Mira's arms against her chest, tearstained but calmer, and Rumi feels like she's interrupting something until Zoey notices her and manages a teary half smile and Mira holds out an arm for her too and as much as it feels weird to Rumi- because she's not used to hugging anyone but Celine and she doesn't want to intrude and really she's fine, she's not upset or anything so it would be wrong of her to take comfort from Mira when she should be looking after just Zoey- she finds that she DOESN'T want to go back to her cold lonely room and the work that never seems to end, and she tenatively climbs up onto the couch and lets Mira pull her in close too and Zoey take her hand.
They don't exactly talk about it but that's when they start to really Belong to each other.
My fav format of polytrix seriously has to be “they’re all pretty sure they’re dating except rumi’s too busy with the horrors to figure that out”.
They share a bed, are almost glued to each other, suffer various forms of psychological distress when seperated and make out on a regular basis. Meanwhile the girls are pretty sure Rumi’s simply wildly anxious because she has Zero issue talking about sex in a thirsty bitch way but is so violently avoidant of them even grazing under her clothes. Rumi of course is managing the aforementioned horrors. Zoeys starting to be a bit concerned it might be something more serious then anxiety but Mira’s so busy trying to pspspspsps their feral cat girlfriend into going to therapy she isnt really thinking like that.
Anyway the demon thing is a bit out of left field and Zoey does 100% scream “i thought u had an eating disorder or were hurting yourself godDAMMIT RUMI” poor rumi utterly mindfucked at this point is like??? How did you know i was hurting myself??? and the pspspspsing to therapy thing abruptly turns into chasing the feral cat down with the kennel in hand to drag her there.

Princess treatment who
CELINE WAKE UP!!!
(Y'all know that one scene from Lilo and Stitch, right?)
This is the greatest tumblr post of all time
flirting on stage
Yeah, alright. Guess we’re doing this again.
Celine is, in spite of everything she can do and has done, only human. After the Sunlight Sisters fell apart and she was left with a little girl to care for, she maintained the Honmoon alone, no small feat. More often than not, Celine came home bloodied, bruised, and a few times with a broken arm. Rumi learned to patch her up, despite Celine’s attempt at hiding the wounds. In spite of all of this, or maybe because of it, Celine still loved Rumi.
She couldn’t help it. Rumi had her mother’s smile, her laugh, the gentle way she would cradle a small animal whenever she found one. Celine would often have to hold Rumi back during events from running and petting every animal they saw. (It was almost a disaster when she pet the President of Swedens dog without asking. He had just laughed and let her play with the dog.)
But Celine is, despite everything, only Human. When she saw the two lines on Rumi’s arm after her birth, she knew what Rumi was. Her father’s accursed blood courses through the veins of an innocent child, who cried in her arms even as Celine mourned for losing the child’s mother.
When Rumi was small, she asked about her parents. She asked what her mother was like. Celine had smiled then, recounting the gentle way Mi-Yeong would talk with children. How she would inspire hope in parents and adults everywhere. She tickled Rumi as she told her how playful her mother could be, and listened to the echo of Mi-Yeong in Rumi’s laughter.
Rumi had asked about her father then. Celine has pulled back, feeling the familiar anger and shame. She told Rumi curtly that her father was a demon, a cruel creature that couldnt feel anything. Rumi had looked scared, and Celine tried to comfort her by saying Rumi is nothing like her father. (Celine lies. She is only human, after all.)
The next time Rumi asks about her father is while Celine is doing her hair. She asked Celine if all things with patterns had to die while looking at her own. Celine had panicked, her voice sharpening as she told Rumi to cover up. (She had to tell Rumi three more times before it stuck. She didn’t realize it at the time, just how deeply that would burrow into her little girls mind.)
Celine is overjoyed when Rumi meets the others. Rumi’s smile that day had been so wide, so genuine, that it made Celine’s heart ache. It was the same smile her mother would often have on late nights, when the three of them would stay up and whisper secrets to each other. It was a smile Celine had been seeing less and less. She told herself it was because Rumi is taking her training seriously. (Celine is lying, shes only human after all.)
She watches the last song of their world tour that year on tv, quietly cheering on her girls. During the training, shes found herself caring about Zoey and Mira. Not in the same way she does for Rumi, but something close to it. She cheered and celebrated by herself when she saw the hints of the Golen Honmoon. Soon, she told herself, soon Rumi could be free to finally love her girls fully.
She’d told Celine one night, after a demon had hit Rumi hard enough to concuss her. She’d told Celine she loved Zoey and Mira, and wanted to kiss them both silly. (Celine had to make sure Rumi was safely asleep before Mira and Zoey could see her. She didn’t want them to hear it before Rumi was able to tell them properly. )
It’s not long after that that she notices the Honmoon weakening. She sees it on her screen, when she’s looking through social media for any new hints of demons who’d managed to slip by her girls (a mistake they made only once. An empty house had greeted Celine when she killed it. She never told the girls.) The Saja boys. Celine scoffs, and awaits the good news that they’re dead.
She is shocked when she sees Huntrix congratulating the very same Saja boys on their debut on a variety show of all places. Celine could feel the Honmoon thrum after it ended. Rumi would lead her girls and take care of it, she always did. Celine feels more dread everytime the Honmoon pulses, as the weeks drag on before the idol awards.
The night came, unexpectedly. Celine woke up to the Honmoon screaming. It wasnt an audible sound, but it was so loud it felt like it was tearing her skull apart. Celine ran out of her house, blindly until she found the tree. She looked up in shock to see the Honmoon being shredded, like it was made of spider webs.
She didn’t know how long she stood there, shock and anger in equal measures running through her. She senses it before she spins, bringing up her blade.
A demon.
No.
Rumi.
Rumi, standing there, staring at the ground and covered head to toe in patterns. Pulsating a sickly purple, Rumi began soeaking. She’d failed. Zoey and Mira had seen. Celine watched in growing horror and dread as Rumi dropped to the ground, a starlight blade lifted above her head as if it bore the weight of the world.
Rumi demanded her death. Celine couldnt speak. Rumi spoke again, two words, that sent horrific, painful pulses through the Honmoon she tried to remind Rumi of their duty, but Rumi couldnt hear her. She helped Rumi to her feet, reaching towards her face, but froze before reaching it. Rumi looked broken.
Celine realized, in that moment, what had really happened. She didn’t know how, but Rumi had been destroying herself. Everytime Celine had reminded her that she had to cover her patterns, everytime she reinforced how evil demons were, Rumi had taken those words and made blades, using them to cut herself into pieces until all that was left was the image of an Idol, a Daughter, a Demon, a Hunter.
Celine is only human. She tries to fix it, telling Rumi she can cover up again, but Rumi refuses. Looking at Celine with such sorrow in her glowing eyes, Celine has to look away. She can’t see those eyes filled with such hatred and guilt, all directed inwards. Rumi asked Celine why she couldn’t love her.
Celine says she does.
Rumi screams as she says all of me.
Celine is only human, after all. She stands frozen as Rumi says shes glad the Honmoon is destroyed, stands frozen as Rumi vanishes, and stands frozen for a time after that before the strength left her legs. She dropped to her knees, tears falling freely as she realized what she’d done. Rumi was gone, the Honmoon was gone, Zoey and Mira were gone. Everything in Celine’s life that she cares about, stripped away in one night.
Celine is only human. Celine breaks. She doesn’t notice it at first, as she kneels there, shattered and sobbing as she is. The iridescent lights slowly swirling, an echo of recognition. Broken pieces, broken woman. Celine finally lifts her head, seeing it.
The Honmoon. Not the gentle blue she knew, but forged of hope, but a new one. One burning far brighter then its predecessor. Thousands of hues were weaving together, but Celine could feel it, even from there. Rumi is in danger. Celine tries to stand, to move, but her body refuses.
Celine thinks desperately, and tries to sing the hunters mantra. The Honmoon doesnt react. Celine sobs, desperate, and sings a different song. An echo of her past. The first song she ever sang to help Rumi sleep. Celine sings a lullaby.
The Honmoon reacts, twisting gently as it acknowledged Celine’s fears, her regrets, her hopes, her loves, every shattered piece of the woman who kneeled beneath the tree. She didn’t know if it had helped. She couldn’t feel Rumi anymore. But it was something.
It takes a month before Celine finds out parts of what happened. Huntrix had performed a new song, in some kind of massive PR stunt with the Saja boys as fake demons. Rumi had tatoos, and Celine froze as she saw patterns, glowing the same iridescent colors as the Honmoon in the photo. Celine fought with herself, before deciding that if this is how Rumi wants to live, Celine will do everything she can for her child.
Celine is only human, after all.
It takes three months before Rumi visits again. She brings Zoey and Mira with her, of course. She could sense it even before they got out of the car. Without the barrier of Rumi’s patterns (even if it wasn’t a barrier moved around, but one smashed apart), they had gotten together. Mira eyed Celine warily, Zoey glared with outright hostility. Rumi looked at Celine with fear…but with hope. Just a little. Enough to make Celine’s heart squeeze.
She doesn’t approach. She doesn’t deserve to be near Rumi. She talks, instead. Asking little things, trying her best to pretend that things were how they used to be. She didn’t realize until it was too late she was avoiding Rumi’s gaze. Rumi turned, saying their coming here was a mistake. Celine cried out, a single no echoing through the compound.
Rumi froze, not turning around, but not walking away either. Mira and Zoey watched Celine, though a hint of curiosity was now in their gaze. Celine looked down, unable to meet their gazes. (How could she after whay shes done to Rumi?) Celine’s voice is just a whisper, but she knows Rumi will hear her.
A plea. An asking not for forgiveness, but an agreement to come back someday. So they can talk, openly and honestly, about everything. Rumi, not trusting herself to speak, nods to her girls. Mira says theyll be back, but only after Rumi feels shes ready, and after Celine can actually look her in the eye.
They leave then. Celine feels that same hatred, guilt and shame, welling up inside her. Why couldnt she have faced Rumi, and asked for her forgiveness? Instead she’d asked for connection, however unstable it came. Celine would treasure the chance when it came, even as she hated herself for doing it.
Celine is only human, after all. Humans are selfish. Humans are foolish. Humans are greedy. Humans… are everything. Celine is only human in the truest word. She fails, she loves, she mourns, she hates. She makes mistakes, but she still try’s to be better. Rumi knows this. Celine knows this. That is why Rumi agreed to come back. This is why Celine didn’t ask for forgiveness.
It takes a full year before Rumi comes back. She seems happier this time, laughing as she walks through the gates with Mira in one hand and Zoey in the other. Celine doesnt miss the looks of total adoration on the girls faces as they look at Rumi. They don’t miss how Celine looks absolutely terrified at their sudden appearance.
Celine looks, really looks, at Rumi then. She seems faint scars, patterns, and makeup. She sees simple cloths, purple hair, and painted nails. She sees a gentle face, worry written across it, and gentle brown eyes watching her. Celine sees her daughter, and Rumi sees her Mother.
They don’t run to each other to embrace. This isnt some story where a reunion means all is forgiven. The four of them sit outside at talk for two hours, Celine using a fourth of the time simply saying how sorry she is. Rumi promises to come back, and Celine restrains herself from hugging her daughter. More trust has to be built first.
Celine hugs Rumi on the fifth visit.
Rumi hugs her back on the sixth.
Mira and Zoey ask for Rumi’s hand in marrige on the fifteenth visit, while Rumi is walking through the gardens.
Rumi introduced their adopted daughter on the twentieth visit.
Rumi forgives Celine on the second visit. She tells Celine she forgave her on the twenty fifth.
Celine is only human after all. Who could have guessed that that can be bad or good. Celine loves her daughters and granddaughter more than life. She tells Rumi everytime she sees her how happy she looks. She tells Mira everytime how loving she is. She tells Zoey everytime how amazing she is, being able to give so much light.
She tells her granddaughter every time that she doesn’t need to cover the patterns spreading on her arm.
Wow, this became a whole thing again. Heres my take on how Celine would view herself with a few liberties for it. Celine is more relaxed in this, but I like to think we only saw her more strict moments without the gentle. Or maybe I’m just completely wrong, who knows!
Thanks for reading. Bye 💜

Gluing them together
incredibly gay things polytrix have publicly done under the guise of kpop idol business shipping/queerbaiting/✨fanservice✨
call each other "jagi" on live broadcast all the time
have MULTIPLE couple items with each other (rings, necklace, bracelets, etc.)
definitely exchanged cute little pecks on stage at every single concert
"oh yeah zoey's my ideal type" "~if i were a man~ i would definitely marry rumi" "i just think mira is the most beautiful person in the world!"
wrote MULTIPLE songs serenading one another about how lovely and beautiful another member is (iu i'm looking at you)
sit in each other's laps constantly even though there's blatantly enough space
get visibly jealous when another member shows someone else outside of their group affection?? (CHUU I'M LOOKING AT YOU AND YOUR FUCKING SPECK OF DUST IN SPACE MONOLOGUE)
take incredibly beautiful photos of each other that one can only take if they were in love with their subject (this just screamsss mira)
general coupley things (holding hands, feeding each other, back hugs, forehead kisses, etc.)
"What's your ideal type?"
Mira hates this question. To say that she wants to burn down the studio every time it comes up in an interview would be an understatement.
Not because she doesn't have an answer — she does. But because she can't answer.
The media, the interviewers, the business, they expect — require — a certain type of answer. 'What's your ideal man', is really what they should ask, and the main reason she despises these segments.
Because she doesn't have an ideal man, she has an ideal woman. Two of them, actually.
Not that they know.
Mira has spent years admiring Zoey and Rumi from afar. Quietly loving them in a way she's not allowed to: as more than friends, as more than group mates.
She notices with Zoey first. Mira found that she could spend hours watching the way light reflected off of Zoey's eyes, flecks of green and yellow playing around her irises. Everywhere they went it was like sunlight found its way to her, and not the other way around. Gravitating to the one person on this planet that could reflect its warmth and beauty back out into the world. It was hard to keep her eyes off of someone so bright and full of life.
It doesn't help that every time she looks at Zoey she sees something new, something that reels her in even further. The dimple on her left cheek, the way her eyebrows arch before she laughs, how her fingers tap the same rhythm whenever she's upset or anxious.
Everything she does is another entry in the list of things she loves about Zoey.
And then came her feelings for Rumi. Drawn in by her confidence — Rumi is everyone's type for a reason — and hooked by the softened edges that only seem to show up around her and Zoey. It's in the way she tends to her plants like they're the most important thing in the world, how she always makes sure Mira and Zoey are taking care of themselves, the way she curls into both of them during scary movies. A side that belongs to them, just them.
Her love for Rumi grew in the quiet moments. Soft smiles and even softer hugs. Caring for each other in ways they didn't need to announce. Threaded fingers during naps in the sun. Mira's affection for Rumi wasn't loud but it was steady, constant.
Fear always hangs heavy during these moments, waiting for Mira to make a wrong move and destroy the only family she has left. The only family she wants. So she's never dared to cross the line with either of them. Not back when she realized how she felt, not now. Jeopardizing the one good thing in her life — the one stable thing — is something she won't allow herself to do.
No matter how many times she sees yearning reflected on Rumi's eyes. No matter how many times she feels love in Zoey's touch.
ooohhhh my girls
considering the possibility that Mira and Zoey knew each other first. that they were both recruited into more traditional idol training and befriended each other in cramped dorms, between exhausting schedules. and then Celine swoops in and yanks them from the program and tells them they'll be debuting with Rumi instead
Rumi, who probably trained one-on-one with Celine, who never had to share her space with others, who always knew that her debut was going to happen because she's a Hunter
considering the possibility that Rumi has always felt like an outsider in her own group

Always the consummate professional, Rumi tries to protect her voice as much as she can because of their busy schedule. So outside of the studio, writing sessions, and actual events that require it, Rumi doesn't typically just sing freely for fun. She takes her idol duties as seriously as her hunting, so the times when she really sings, full belting, are rare occasions. And only when she's really happy.
Though it's not a regular occurrence, Zoey and Mira notice how for a while there it was non existent. And they really grew to miss the days when they'd randomly hear Rumi's voice flow through the penthouse. There's nothing quite like being present at their very own private Rumi performance.
About 2 weeks after the Idol Awards, Rumi sings again. Zoey hears it first, as she's in the kitchen getting a snack. She nearly drops her drink in surprise. She sprints to Mira's room and attacks her in a fit of excitement, physically dragging her from her bed. They inch closer to Rumi's room, and her voice gets louder. Her door is open so they silently slip in and see Rumi out on her balcony, tending to her plants, singing (Cut to the Feeling by Carly Rae Jepsen) at the top of her lungs. They move to sit on her bed and watch her, afraid if they make their presence known Rumi will stop. Zoey can't help herself and claps when Rumi finishes the song, scaring her into dropping the watering can.
"Someone's happy." Mira says with playful teasing when Rumi looks at them with a deep red blush. Mira walks over to her and cups her face, lovingly stroking a thumb over her cheekbone, "looks good on you, sounds good too." She places a kiss to Rumi's forehead before pulling away.
"Encore! Encore! Encore!" Zoey chants as she hops toward them. She takes Rumi's hands in hers and grins ear to ear. "Duet? Triet? Is that a word? Three-et? Pleeeease?"
Rumi starts singing again, and laughs when Zoey squeals at the song choice as it's one of her favorites (Pocket Full of Sunshine by Natasha Bedingfield) Zoey starts singing with her, Mira doesn't recognize it right away, but once the chorus comes around she remembers, belting out with them in full force. They have so much fun, taking turns picking songs to sing as they move throughout their spaces doing chores the rest of the morning.
Rumi starts to sing more regularly, always waiting for her girls to join her. And she never feels happier.
They probably found some Saja Boys groupies on their way to their favourite restaurant...
Went to the coffee shop since our power was out today, and the ladies working there were playing so many of the KPDH songs, having no clue I was painting them haha
