The girls end up having specific beds that they gravitate too in times of trouble: Zoey’s bed is where they end up if they’re having a cheer-you-up movie night if they’re sad, Rumi’s bed is where they go when they’re Stressed and Mira’s bed is the refuge from all things scary or especially distressing.

Mira doesn’t find it easy to go to her girls for comfort though- like if Zoey has a bad dream, she’ll just go burrow into Mira’s side and falls back to sleep pretty easily (Rumi will try and curl up and sleep on the floor beside the bed until Mira holds out an arm and sternly orders her into bed with her eyes still shut- only then will she get close enough for Mira to sweep her under her wing and tuck her head under her chin) but if Mira has a bad dream and can’t stay in her room, she’ll go sleep on the couch to feel closer to them (she’d quite like to sleep nearer, even on the floor outside their doors, but that feels too dramatic).

At first, Rumi and Zoey just think she’s come out of her room to watch late night tv or something but one night, she accidently knocks something over and wakes Zoey, who comes out to investigate. She sees Mira on the couch and assumes she’s just sleeping, and then she sees that Mira’s face is streaked with tears. She doesn’t want to wake her up but she brings the cosiest blankets from her bed and the stuffed turtle that Mira uses as a pillow most when they’re watching movies in Zoey’s bed, covers Mira up, lays the turtle in the curve of her arm and squeezes onto the couch next to her. Of course Mira doesn’t actually stay asleep during this- Zoey is not super quiet and Mira is not that deep a sleeper- but she pretends and just hopes Zoey doesn’t notice the tears that leak from the corners of her closed eyes.

Rumi is a famous singer (think RAYE, Lumie’s cover of Score Suite (Hunter’s Mantra), and of course Ejae) 

Zoey is a famous Rapper (Rei Ami) 

Mira is a famous Chef, has been on mobile cooking shows, won many competitions, and owns a michelin star restaurant.

Zoey and Rumi met at an event before the story and are secretly dating. They have put out songs together and are not trying very hard to hide the fact but people just think they're besties and they find that funny.

They meet Mira at a fancy event that Rumi has to attend but drags Zoey to. Mira is the cater. 

Rumi is very formal when in public but the moment she gets home acts like the Rumi we know and love. This is because Celine inspired her to be this image of a lady. She has a lot of respect for Celine 

Celine is a strict but caring aunt. She will glare at Rumi to get her elbow off the table then fuse over her if she gets a paper cut. Is the only one who can say no to Rumi but she has to hype herself up first and can't look at the puppy's eyes. Makes Rumi takes care of herself. Zoey has a picture of Celine chasing Rumi around with a slipper because Rumi was doing work when she wasn't supposed to. 

Zoey doesn't care what people think. Celine hated this at first but warmed up to it more she got to know Zoey.

Celine knows there dating 

Mira learned to cook by sneaking into her family kitchen and watching the chefs there. They catch her watching and teach her.

Cooking is the way Mira works through her emotions.

Mira cut all contact with her father. 

Mira has a rocky relationship with her mother and brother. 

Mira used to act out when she was a kid for her parents and brothers attention. 

Was close to her brother till he started working for her dad.

On her 18th birthday sat her mom and brother down for a meal she made (her dad didn't show up but was invited) and told them that she was leaving. They expected the meal would be a mess but during the meal her mom and brother realized that they don't really know her and enjoy her company ( I wanted to give her some good family for once). Mira still leaves but her mom and brother secretly start therapy. They reach out to her a year later ( they needed to work on themselves and they tell her this) with real apologies and hopes to build a relationship. 

In the demon realm Gwi-ma is fuming because his only son not only failed his mission, he also was lying with the enemy.

Suddenly the spirit tiger that was always following his son appears tied to his back is... A baby?

The tiger spits a letter, the demon king pick his reading glasses.

Dear shitty Father I hope this letter finds you in good health, congratulations you are a grandfather, the baby name is rumi take care of her, she is half human so she probably won't be able to eat souls I'm not sure.

Hope to see you in the other side, love ya.

Your stupid only son.

Damn that imbecile child.

"Well *picking baby rumi his flames inoffensive to hos blood" You would have to take the throne, don't worry I going to teach you everything you need to know"

Years later.

"A demon band?"

" Yes! If we take their fans, we debilitate the Hoonmoon!"

"Hmm" Is a good plan but he doesn't feel sure of letting her go.

"Grandpa I will be fine, if the Hunters find us I just throw Jinu in front and run"

"Hey!"

"Shush"

He raised her and teach her of the dangers of the hunters, surely she won't make the same mistake that her father.

"Fine, go, make me proud"

A few months later.

A tiger appears in front of him and promptly spits a letter.

Surely is his grandchild telling him of her victory.

"Venerable Grandfather, i regret to inform you that the mission failed and the demons who come with me are all dead with the exception of Jinu who is a fucking cockroach. Even so I have wonderful news..."

Please don't tell me you fall in love with a hunter.

"...I made a deal with the hunters and we will receive the souls of criminals as long we stop the incursion to the human world"

Hmm not bad , he knew his grandchild won't disappoint him.

" Also I took the two hunters as my mates, one is expecting I will send you pictures love ya.

Your only grandchild Rumi that you love so much"

Jinu: Wow, I wasn't expecting a hug, but--whoa! Hey! Easy! I just want to--

[A pair of shin-kal zip through his torso from behind]

Jinu: ...the fu--?

Jinu: [disintegrates]

Zoey: Wow, good thing you texted us to follow you.

Mira: Yeah, can you imagine what he and those other demons would have gotten up to if you'd come out here alone?

Rumi: Thanks, guys.

Rumi: ......

Rumi: Huh, feels kind of weirdly anticlimactic somehow.

Mira: ...we should be getting back, I guess?

[They start strolling away from the camera]

Rumi: By the way, I've been meaning to tell you I'm half-demon.

Zoey: Really? Cool!

- A pathetic status quo enforcer who always dismissed and neglected the well-being and feelings of her adoptive daughter.

- A perfectionist who molded her adoptive daughter and friends into rising celebrities for clout.

- A murderer willing to do whatever it takes to hide Rumi's heritage because she knew what she had coming to her. Bc despite the death of Rumi's mom being an accident, the death of Rumi's dad was on purpose.

- Someone who despite her bitter hatred of demons, only "loves" Rumi in the hopes of never discovering her demon heritage. Hence the cruel cover up scenes.

What Celine really is

- Someone who took things as is, until the truth was finally revealed to her. And feels genuine remorse for the needless disappearance of Rumi's mom.

- Someone who despite her questionable way of "loving" Rumi was done to protect the Honmoon from breaking. Not because of her demon heritage.

- Someone who never considered the possibility of a revealing your demon marks being the key to unleash the Golden Honmoon. And probably realized it once she saw it form, offscreen.

Then the movie happens and while Celine’s main concern afterwards is "oh shit I might have fucked up raising Rumi," there is a small part of her brain that is thinking "well, at least now she'll be able to confess her feelings."

So a few weeks go by, long enough for the girls to decompress from the Idol Awards but not long enough for them to reconnect with Celine. And so far, Celine has heard nothing in the news about their relationship. She assumes that they must just want to keep it private. She can't fault them for that.

Anyway, cut to several months post movie. The girls have reconnected with Celine and, in her observation, seem even closer than they were before the events of the movie. But they still haven't told her they're together. Well, if they want to keep it a secret even from her, she'll respect it, even if she finds it a bit odd.

Finally, almost a year post movie, Rumi calls Celine to ask for some advice.

Rumi: "I need some help with something."

Celine: "Of course. What is it you need?"

Rumi: "I really want to ask Mira and Zoey out, but I don't know how to do it. And I'm scared that they'll reject me."

Celine: "..."

Rumi: "Celine?"

Celine: "You're not already together?"
