And he was happy when Bucky said they were invited to a fundraiser that his friend's fuckboy was apart of. Its a good cause so why not.

Sam had to explain what fuckboy meant and that made Steve a little nervous.

He was not expecting Peter Parker who gave Bucky a hug; and Bucky actually returned it. Who shook his hand for almost a solid minute. All smiles, jokes and overall kind.

Talking about how his boyfriend does a lot of pro-bono work for the city but bills still gotta be paid. So they started a yearly fundraiser to help substantially of being able to do more work for the little guy.

Steve was so happy Bucky met such a caring guy to hang out with.

He wasn't expecting that lawyer Matthew Murdock to be said fuckboy that Bucky was referencing.

Steve angrily whispering to Bucky.

" He is blind! He does pro-bono work. How is this fuckboy material. I was genuinely concerned for Peter especially after meeting him."

"Peter has horrible taste in men."

"Bucky!"

" Peter once slept with Castle."

"Frank Castle? This Peter? How?"

" terrible taste"

Bucky smirking in his glass cause he knows Matt heard him even from across the room. He loved reminding him that Peter and Frank hooked up atleast once that he knew of.

Matt raising and eyebrow at Bucky in a 'why you gotta bring that up.....again.'

At 12:00AM straight Sam will receive a text from an unknown number containing a pic of Joaquín passed out on the floor saying "this your guy?" I truly believe that...

every three months he'll post and in the author's note there's some shit like "sorry this took a while, i got shot seven times :/" or "i know it's been a minute, i literally got hit by a bus and then stabbed in the leg, but i'm all good!" or sometimes ned would log in and post with a note "hey i'm a friend posting on the author's behalf, they're healing from severe hypothermia but promised an update, so here it is!"

and the fic just gets increasingly more popular for the author notes alone. a good handful of the comments are something along the lines of "i'm not even in the star wars fandom, i'm just here to see if the author is good" or "every update i cheer for another day the author gets to live at this point"

and any reader who is a native new yorker kind of pieces together that holy shit the author might be spider-man because the timeline adds up, and they just fully embrace it. spider-man will stop a robbery and the guy behind the counter will ask when the next chapter will be up. spider-man returns a stolen backpack to a girl and she'll tell him that he "really got poe's voice down so well, it's really impressive."

ned thinks it is hilarious. mj finds out about the fic from twitter, to peter's absolute horror, and changes peter's contact name to "friendly neighborhood ao3 author". but the worst thing to happen is after an avengers battle where peter took a pretty big hit and ends up in med-bay. and during a press conference, when someone asks how spider-man is healing, tony just drops "spidey won't be down for too long. the star wars fic will be updated within the week, probably."

Casino Royale by spaceisgay (chancellorgriffin)

The fic that got me into Brudick. Bruce and Dick go undercover at a casino to bust a plot by Roulette, and figure out they're in love. I think the characterisation of Bruce and Dick as adults and equals is well done, and the fic is really fun and satisfying to read, partially because of the realisations our pair has, but also because Dick is really, really good at poker. Fun! Hot! (Finished)

2. Strangers in the Dark by Averia

Incredibly underrated. Dick wakes up from his Joker induced coma after everyone thought he wouldn't, and we get to see what Bruce becomes without his guiding light. An incredibly compelling mystery, with a twist that I genuinely did not see coming. (Finished)

3. The End of the World by ava_jamison

Dick is about to leave for college, so Bruce spirals and angsts at a party–perhaps not the most exciting premise, but the writing is impeccable. The vibe is almost a little surreal, as if from a dream, but the affection and longing Bruce has for Dick is palpable. The setting of the fic (literally "a party for teenagers") also refuses to let you forget that Dick is Bruce's ward, which makes for some internal conflict that's delicious and heartbreaking. 4. we’ll be together (eventually, in time) by Laroyena

Everyone has probably read this wonderful classic, but if you haven't, here's a soulmate AU where Bruce and Dick works things out over the course of years, while everyone figures out they're in love before they do. Batman being unable to deny himself and loving Dick, before pushing him away, while Dick leaves but doesn't stray too far is an ongoing theme here, and I'm obsessed. Selina and Tim's appearances are also in character and enjoyable :) (Finished)

5. Dick Grayson Reaction by Dreamquillz

A characters react to Dick's story fic! Okay, fair warning, this isn't actually a Brudick fic, it's tagged gen and will feature other Dick ships down the line. However, with that said, some of my favourite moments between Bruce and Dick in fanfic have come from this fic, and I truly believe no one captures their codependent soulmatism better than Dreamquillz. It is also just a really accurate, thoughtful and well written love letter to Dick Grayson. So definitely give it a go if you love our duo appreciating and getting each other like no one else does! 6. Happy Acres by Kyele

Bruce and Dick go undercover at a couple's retreat run by Harley Quinn and figure important things out. The dialogue between the two is so fun and flirty (once they figure things out) and you really get the sense that Batman and Nightwing are a well oiled team. The actual plot (and the final battle) is also so well written that I think it actually could have been published as a canon Batman investigative novel if it were adjusted for censors and whatnot.
