I need a fix of rock and roll

(Spoilers obviously; also please know I have only read the first and second books, I know literally nothing else about Wheel of Time)

The Seanchan are absolutely nuts and I’ll be honest when they were first introduced and Rosamund Pike started using a Southern accent (I’m listening to the audiobooks) I laughed because I wasn’t expecting that… yeah I wasn’t laughing by the end of the book.

I’m a little tired of the whole “I don’t want to be like them!” bit, they should’ve let Egwene get a few more hits in.

Rand al’Thor continues to frustrate me for some reason, hopefully this won’t be a thing for the whole series.

I will be devastated about Ingtar forever I really liked him 😭😭😭

GIVE THOM MERRILIN MORE SCREEN TIME COWARDS WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE ONLY GOT THREE CHAPTERS WITH HIM—

Does this series pass the Bechdel Test??? Cuz we have so many female characters that have names and personalities, I’m pretty sure we have more female characters than male characters by now, and yet they all keep talking about Rand.

And for that matter Min, Egwene, and Elayne could all do SO MUCH BETTER than him.

Loved Egwene, Elayne, Min, and Nynaeve as a quartet of friends, I hope we get more of that!

Also loved the flickering of the different lives Rand lived, that was horrifying and cool.

LOVED the imagery of the army of heroes being summoned by the Horn, that shit was awesome.

When “Selene” revealed herself as Lanfear, one of the Forsaken, I legit CACKLED and yelled “I KNEW THAT BITCH WAS SHADY!”

I think I’m too poor to understand Daes Dae’mar and I’m fine with that. (It was very interesting to see how a Game of Thrones style plot was so jarring and seemed so out of place in the larger story)

I wish the eldritch horror aspects like Shadar Logoth and the Machin Shin got more screen time I love them both. I will settle for Mordeth though.

I have been informed that the two Aes Sedai Moiraine and Lan were staying with are sisters and not lesbians with their aroace Warder QPR… and all I have to say is Robert Jordan is a coward for that.

Rosamund Pike continues to deliver with the audiobook narration!! She’s so great and I love her voice!
