I don’t know what gender affirming medical care would like like in Star Wars universe (bacta seems like it can heal pretty much any wound, bionic limb replacements are common- I would imagine that synth skin could be used to make a phalloplasty penis pretty easily) and especially under the Empire. But I don’t think it would matter on a planet like Tatooine because they simply wouldn’t have the resources to facilitate a medical transition.

From Luke and Bigg’s friendship, we can see he’s accepted as a man. He is not treated like a girl whatsoever by anyone on Tatooine. While I don’t want to believe Tatooine culture is transphobic, I think Luke’s neighbors wouldn’t be as smooth about seeing him as a man and gendering him correctly if he didn’t pass as a man at least a little.

Which is why I think adolescent Luke Skywalker, before he’s ever heard of the Force, is subtly influencing those around him Jedi Mind Trick style. Not in exactly intentionally , but projecting an aura of ‘I’m a man and you’re not going to think about it any further’. And it works, and the entire events of ANH happen and very few characters thinks he’s transgender because they don’t think about it twice.

This also ties into the pinned post on my blog from the From A Certain Point of View book, where an alien mistakes Luke and Ben Kenobi as a girl and her elderly father. Aliens can’t be Force influenced as easily, so Luke looks more feminine to the alien than other people he knows.

some people really don’t realize how privileged they are that they get fanfics for free. imagine having access to something for free because someone is kind enough to share it with you… and then being rude, entitled and an ungrateful pos to that person who was kind enough to share their creation with you for free

“almost 1 year is a lil too much for me” fuck off. fanfic writers don’t owe you anything. one of my favorite fics was updated after 13 years, and what I did is that I thanked the author for choosing to continue the work, I didn’t act like a spoiled toddler by asking why they didn’t update sooner. and even if a writer chooses to abandon their fic permanently with no explanation, that is their choice, their hobby, their decision. they don’t owe your entitled ass anything.
