Every time Atem pops up behind Yugi and says something generic like “I sense incredible spirit from that person” I’m like did the millennium puzzle actually give you vibe-reading powers or do you just really want to participate and are making up vaguely wise and mystic-sounding things to say. Do you just feel kinda left out of the conversation, Atem. Are you just kinda bored in there and wanted Yugi’s attention for a minute. is being in the millennium puzzle the social equivalent of standing just outside the circle of friends at a party and not being sure how to break in, so you’re just coming up with meaningless commentary so you can feel like you’re actually in the room with everyone. is that it? it’s okay if it is Atem I won’t tell anyone

I like to play this game with myself called “Dumbest Headcanon” and the current leader is that Tristan/Honda is just like, stupid good-looking. By far and away the best looking dude there. But because he spent the beginning of the story being a bullying douche, and then the vast majority of the rest of the story being overshadowed by world champion card players, loudmouths, billionaires, actual magic, etc., etc., just, no one notices or cares. He’s a pretty nice guy, he’s got a motorcycle, he wears a cool leather jacket. And just, no payoff. This HC changes literally nothing about the story but it is so funny to me to imagine Tristan is there in the background being a regular dreamboat and it’s just totally disregarded. Cinéma

They should have let Yami Marik come with them to the virtual world instead of making him wait on the blimp. He would not have helped in any way and it would have made everything incontrovertibly worse but it would have been very funny.
