Defy the World to make you Smile

One year ago, I posted the first chapter of Bloodlines on AO3 and FF.net! I then went a bit mad on writing it all and finally finished posting the whole thing in May. 😅

I just wanted to commemorate it (and that it coincides with Nalu Week is fun lol) and post a little about what I'm doing now: working on a sequel that more or less continues from where it ended. It focuses on the plot hooks I left (Zeref and Mavis), new threats, and the ongoing repercussions of what happened in the first story. I did think about leaving it longer and focusing on something new, but I don't think I was ready to say goodbye to the AU versions of the characters I wrote about just yet, so I guess this is what my main writing project is now. 😆

And... the first chapter will be posted next week 😉 (It's a prologue, so expect chapter two to come out in the same week)

I am trying to pace myself while writing the sequel this time around, and I also intend to finish some side projects this year if I can.

I'm sure if I hadn't had Natsu leave for the Hargeon mission, he would have realized his feelings for her sooner, but he was falling for a different version of Lucy than what she aspired to be. She needed a chance to grow, and as much as she appreciates his protection and care, she didn't feel like he would let her (be okay with) her switching to runner, or maybe he would've come around to the idea one day, we'll never know...
