Like the most of nat personally was angst over *GASP* not being able to have kids. Well the only think we know about gamora is she is the daughter of thanos and she is an assassin.

And i hate when people (men esp) say "well gamora DID come back" no. She didnt. Gamora came back pre meeting the guardians and this gamora is still an assassin.

Marvel also completely erased nat's history. In the comics she is the same age as cap (as in born in the same era) and had connects to bucky and cap

So I noticed in A:TLA, and it’s carried over in LoK, that Airbenders always seem to have an advantage in a fight. And at first, it felt like plot armour, particularly in A:TLA.

But when Aang fought Bumi, he lost most of that advantage. And I realised that this wasn’t just plot armour. Someone had sat and worked it out: nobody has had to fight Airbenders for generations. 

None of the other nations have had to train to face them, or practised sparring with them, or anything. Apart from Bumi, no bender in the show has ever even met an airbender before Aang comes along. And in LoK, for the most part people still haven’t. We never see fights between those who have (for e.g. we never see Tenzin and Lin fight); when Korra and Tenzin use airbending, its a unique fighting style that people aren’t trained to manage.

It’s a really small detail, and it fundamentally works to give the heroes an advantage (and make up for Aang’s young age and lack of combat experience), but I love how it’s an advantage in combat for completely logical reasons.

aang straight up says to the fire nation guards on zuko’s ship “you’ve probably never fought an airbender before”, because he in-universe figures out that, if what everyone around him is saying is true, and airbenders have been extinct for a century (or at least have gone to ground enough to make people think that) then he is a totally unknown figure in anyone’s calculations

this has been brought up before but it’s also one of the reasons why hama is so thrown in her fight with katara - waterbending is about energy exchange, keeping things flowing, throwing your opponent’s power back at them and we see katara and hama do this in their fight. however, when katara is faced with a powerful blast from hama, she stands her ground and blows it apart:

Task 2: You are now being kept in the dungeons. While a situation much more befitting your status and abilities, it’s cramping your style a bit by preventing you from biting your captor in the ass. Break out of the dungeon, making it unfit for use as a dungeon on your way out.

Task 3: You have escaped into the kitchens, and the servants are preparing a feast for the ball tonight. You don’t think there needs to be a feast tonight, do you?

Task 4: You have gotten upstairs to where the bedchambers are; there are many guests staying here, and they all have so many lovely things. Back when you were a princess you often wished to shred uncomfortable dresses, throw pinchy shoes down the privy, and borrow jewels that weren’t your own. Have fun now.

Task 5: You’ve found your captor’s secret chambers with all his magic stuff. Somewhere in here is a spell that will let you change from swan to human at will. While you’re finding that, there’s a whole lot of other stuff here that could be fucked up, with entertaining results.

Task 6: Your captor is holding a ball where your beloved is going to be stolen from you. You don’t see any reason for this ball to proceed as planned, do you? Look at all the pretty candles and all this nice flammable shit, for starters. Also, bite your captor in the ass.

Bonus: The ballroom is filled with people of all appearances, races, shapes, sizes, types. Nobody is identified except the wicked sorcerer. You can choose anyone to be your beloved, and declaring your love to them will open the royal wedding end scene.

The cover story for the Stargate Program was that it was doing deep space telemetry for NORAD. Please imagine Hardison trying to wrap his brain around Eliot spending what, four years?, doing deep space telemetry. And Eliot just shrugs because

“I can’t have a hobby, Hardison, is that what your saying? That’s just stereotyping, man, that’s wrong.” He keeps it up until they’re actually in the gate room and then he slaps Hardison on the back and grins.

Jim: Yeah, when I was on Tarsus, we -

Bones: Excuse me, when you were on WHERE

Jim: did we not have this conversation 

Bones: no we fucking well did not

Five minutes later

Bones: I can’t believe you were on Tarsus because your family sent you there. I would never send my daughter to-

Though the second Peter Pan play (based off Barrie’s original) says the Lost Boys are banished when they grow up. It seems there are many theories as to what happens to the Lost Boys, but Barrie himself wanted to keep it either secret, or up for interpretation. 

—two teenaged boys who WERE barreling towards a tragic rivalry that ends in one of them falling to darkness… until one of them confessed that he was just trying to show off because he has a crush on the other one. They’re now dating and the comedy comes from the universe CONSTANTLY trying to get them to fight and failing.

—an eight year old who keeps tattling on the demons who are whispering to her and then getting into sibling fights with them

—a brooding, edgy fire-wielding boy and a brooding, edgy fire-wielding girl who can’t figure out which mystical signs belong to who

The two fire kids have a big age gap, with the girl being 10 and the boy being 17. They spend so much time together trying to untangle their destinies that they wind up developing a brother-sister relationship. The girl is one of the Hopes and the boy’s name is Fox, which results in the following exchange being commonplace.

B: which Hope?

Fox two years ago: Whenever he laughs I get all sweaty and agitated, and that stupid ‘oh look at me I’m so handsome’ grin is so obnoxious it bothers me for hours after I have talk to the guy! God, Raven’s the worst.

She is also, as the villain discovered in spectacularly violent fashion when he kidnapped her, the most dangerous member of the party by far.

Because she ISN’T a cleric and she wasn’t using light magic at all. She uses raw magic, which is a rare talent for humans because it’s hard to control and tends to destroy the weirder before their enemies. Maribelle’s love for her friends was LITERALLY the source of her healing magic, because she uses her emotions to shape her spells.

Or am I just weird?
