one is a quiet, autistic boy with glasses and epilepsy who everyone considers nice enough but otherwise overlooks

and then at the climax of Oathbringer one of them encourages a presumed-dead plant spirit to regain some of her magic through the power of friendship and then hangs back for the rest of the fight, trusting his allies to carry the day, while his brother charges repeatedly at a giant rock monster, wielding a sword bigger than he is and following the tried and true strategy “hit it til it dies”
