I’m so sick right now my head is throbbing and my life is wasting away but one thing I must say before I go down for life is that FIDDLEFORD HAD AUTONOMY AND HE ISN’T YOUR LITTLE ANXIETY BABY HES A GROWNNNN ASS MANNNN WHO MADE ALL HIS DECISIONS ON HIS OWN AND WHILE STANFORD WAS A HORRIBLE FRIEND TO HIM DURING THE PORTAL-MAKING ERA NOT ONCE DID HE FORCE FIDDLEFORD TO STAY, HE DID NOT FORCE FIDDLEFORD TO MAKE THE MEMORY GUN AND ERASE HIS MEMORIES. Stanford is not a plot device. He is not some malevolent cause for all of the terrible things that happen in Gravity Falls and all instances of him hurting someone (physically or mentally) are because of his passive ignorance and his need to succeed. He is a selfish person but he is not some big bad villain, he’s a man who got in over his head after a lifetime of being shielded.
