Foggy Minded Grey

Yesterday I felt a sense of existential dread again. It's all so strange. I always thought it wasn't worth running from. Better to immerse yourself completely and experience... mm... I can't quite explain why. But you can't run from yourself anyway, and if you run, it will only get worse over time.

I've never been too worried about my life being meaningless. Like, so what? There are things I can enjoy every day. There are things I can suffer over. But this is all life, containing both good and bad.

Yes, I'll die and that's it. For me personally, it will probably all end. Or maybe not. Who knows... But I always console myself with the thought that a person can leave something behind, and it will live on. And a part of me will continue to live in what I create.

But yesterday I thought all day: what if all of humanity disappears one day?. Then everything I do is meaningless because I won't even be able to pass it on to other people.

Almost everything people consider valuable doesn't exist on the scale of eternity. Love, friendship, art - all of this can exist only now and disappear in the next moment. From a cosmic perspective, it's all a flash of light in endless darkness. A brief, random spark. Does it now become empty? If you look for a reason that lasts forever, you won't find it. The universe doesn't care about our "meaning."
