I came across a rather upsetting pool of anti-kin posts recently so here are my affable reminders that

Therapy is a privilege many cannot afford, and dismissing others to "seek therapy" comes across as classist. (And in many times ageist, considering medical neglect is painfully common amongst younger individuals.)

Delusions are not necessarily deleterious, in fact, many times are an anchor for the mind. Even if somebody's alterhumanity is influenced by delusion, so long as they are safe it shouldn't be of immediate concern. Especially noting many delusion rooted identities have a cause already known to the bearer.

Being distressed with fictionkind doubles is entirely understandable, and advising them not to interact with one's profile is a healthy boundary to have.

I won’t name names because there are too many, plenty of yall in the reblogs need to get off your ass and think critically about people with experiences and struggles other than your own.

Additionally, yall need to understand that you’re on the goddamn internet and understand that a DNI is literally just that. It’s a list of people you don’t want to interact with. It is not a statement of ideology or stance. Treating a DNI as such is a surefire way to label anyone with sensitivities or phobias related to certain content as “immoral exclusionists”…. and a surefire way to make yourself a damn ableist.

And since I saw OP make some ridiculous point about people with certain theriotypes in their DNI “grouping bug therians in with Nazis”, surprise! The one and only reason both groups would be on there is because the user doesn’t want to interact with either of them. It is not implying any comparison or similarity, they are literally just people that user doesn’t want to interact with for any reason they may have, personal dislike or not.

Blatant ableism has no place in the community and the amount of people on this post who were willing to jump on a false statement conflating safety measures by disabled people with exclusionism are presenting an embarrassing lack of critical thinking skills.

Question for polytherians:

How can you be two identities at once? Like, how does it feel?

As a monotherian I have always been extremely confused by the concept, especially when someone is two completely opposite animals at once. I am so clearly an American kestrel and I cannot comprehend how I could be anything else. I get cladotherians because all of the animals have a base level of similarity, but like... how can you be both a bird and a fish? Lizard and wolf? Don't those conflict? This is a genuine question, I want to learn.

maybe its because i am plural, but i feel deeply that i would still be this abstract and fluid without my disabilities. i cannot exist in one box, i must constantly be moving and changing, today i may be a bird but tomorrow i could be the pages of my journal, or the music i am listening to, or the rush of waves past a boat, or a sheep, or the wonderful inbetween and mix of everything i experience

As a member of a system, I personally only have two kintypes that bring tame wolf and sea lion. I’m a wolf all the time unless I’m in a pool basically. I can trigger sea lion shifts if I want them by visualizing my sea lion body.

Hey shout out to that guy who said I can’t possibly be a clinical lycanthrope because I can type…

Why is no one teaching people about us 🫩 why people be discrediting my disability when normally it’s used as an insult for anyone who’s alterhuman. Being too lenient either way is still ableism.
