The new Odyssey adaptation has inevitably gotten people talking about a Muppet version of it, and they’re frequently suggesting Kermit as Odysseus, Miss Piggy as Penelope.

I’m sorry but that’s thinking way too small, hear me out:

They will notice what matters to their goal, fear, desire, training, wound, or obsession. A jealous character notices hands. a hungry character notices food. A soldier notices exits. #fandom #every spn opinion I saw scrolling through reblog notes was correct #Especially the ones about Castiel.#This post is also the case though when it comes to things where my reasons for objecting #are NOT objective or analytical but purely personal #Like trans headcanons - the way I interact with my own gender stuff makes me bounce hard off like 90% of trans headcanons #but when they get super super popular like in the Terror fandom #even if that headcanon isn't OBJECTIVELY worse the fact that it's fanon makes fandom a worse place for me #b/c I can't get away from it which makes the self satisfaction people often display when they talk about those headcanons rub a raw spot #Y'all know what I mean?#fanon is inevitable #but it does also make fandom a less friendly place for people who don't agree with it -#even if that disagreement isn't based off some more accurate reading of the text
