This could be yet another win for small artists, a win for indie filmmaking, and the ultimate "thank you" to Mark for doing it for the love of the game. He and his team went through hell to make something he deemed perfect enough for us; I mean, he basically built a damn jet engine in his bathroom for this movie simply for quality's sake. This feels like the least we can do in return.

When I still identified as a girl, I would try to make friends within queer circles and a Significantā¢ļø number of people (in different friend groups!) would ask my pronouns, Iād say āshe/her, sorry Iām boring lolā, and then they would REFUSE to call me by my preferred pronouns. It was ALWAYS they/themāwhich is a good default! Should be the default!! I am glad itās becoming the default!!! The problem was that i informed them repeatedly that those were NOT the pronouns they should use for me anymore, and was repeatedly denied my gender identity.
