I feel like a lot of people tend to forget that the antivax movement is the result of ableism and a hatred of autistic people especially autistic children. It’s not based off of a “trend” it’s core reason for being a “thing” is because of ableism, so like…yeah make fun of antivaxers but can we please remember that they are always ableist pieces of garbage that would rather their child die slowly and painfully from a preventable disease than live and be autistic.

This is why ALL police are garbage. Yes your daddy too.

Okay, and who’s going to hold a gun to a doctor’s head and force them to work for free (AKA be a slave)?

If you really think doctors in France, Canada, Norway, FInland, Switzerland, or, basically any other country in the world work for free I don’t know what to tell you bud, but you pretty clearly do not have any understanding of how single-payer tax-funded healthcare works, because I can assure you the doctors in the hospitals and clinics here make a pretty decent salary, considering they’re all upper-middle-class, but also don’t get sued every time they turn around while people like me can still afford to see a doctor when we get sick or go to the hospital if we need to without worrying about how we’ll pay the bill.

In Canada, single-payer healthcare was created by a doctor who was heartbroken and infuriated to see his patients die because they couldn’t afford adequate treatment. He’s one of our most beloved historical figures.

“Universal healthcare will enslave doctors” isn’t the absolute hottest take I’ve ever seen, but it definitely makes the top 20.

I’m so glad I’m seeing more and more Lundy Bancroft quotes on my dash because this book CHANGES THE LIVES OF ABUSE VICTIMS. The programs run for rehabilitating abusive men through the courts? Bancroft DESIGNED THEM. His programs are replicated ALL OVER THE WORLD. He literally wrote THE book on abuser rehabilitation.
