@muslimgamerâ and others might confirm this for me: AFAIK cats are Clean Creatures in Islam, so cats on prayer mats - especially their own mini prayer mats - arenât offensive. One website I looked at said âcats will be cats, cats like to mirror people, and giving them their own mat helps stop them being a distraction during prayers.â

Gender reveal parties, and big planned reveals, literally were not a thing ten, fifteen years ago. Donât let anyone pull that âitâs a tradition!â crap on you, youngsters. Theyâre LYING. People would either get the ultrasound or not to find out about the genitals, and tell people or not. That was that.
The fuss over ârevealingâ a babyâs gender in utero stinks of pushback against the shift toward a more nuanced understanding of gender. I mean yeah part of it is social media, and trends catching on, but donât think for a minute this isnât part of some regressive attitudes creeping into the mainstream with a cute (blue or pink) bow on it.

i'm just curious bc i'm watching How to Train Your Dragon and i always forget how happy and calm it makes me feel. i mean, i did name my cat after Toothless the dragon. but i also love Lion King, that's my Disney comfort movie. and my Ghibli comfort movie is Spirited Away. watching any of these when i'm in a foul mood or my anxiety is high always helps 𼰠but i watch them just for fun too, not only when i'm in a mood. what about you?
