it just occurred to me how effortlessly they set up Cinderella loosing her glass slipper… how many times has she lost her slipper going up the stairs? how many times has she thought of how much of an inconvenience this trait of hers is? that it’s not helping her bring breakfast to these people faster. only later, through some ups and downs, when going down the stairs, she looses her slipper again, but this time, she can’t get it back, but it’ll be for her. it’ll help her. it’ll help lead her into the next chapter in her life. it’s always her right foot she keeps loosing her slipper again and again. and it’s not until later the right glass slipper shatters into pieces. it’s symbolic because it’s a symbol of no longer serving her step family. she’s no longer unloved. she’s free. and the remaining slipper, the left one, is a symbol as well, representing how an engagement ring goes on the left hand. a new life, where the people love her and respect her just like how she treated others. the prince, the king, the grand duke,

her right slipper represented her oppression as well as her salvation. her slipper, I guess you can also say, her clumsy trait, is an anchor, as well as a compass, in her story line.

Bonus: she looses her right slipper again when going down the stairs and this time, she’s not going back to her step family. when her father in law helps her, it’s symbolic because it’s no longer her slipper from the house, it’s a new one. her dream came true. she’s home. she has three new people in her life. her new family, and they love her so.
