Brianna u have to know i have been giggling about this idea since i saw this ask LMAO so i did this:

I got a couple of questions that I hope Pro and Epi won't mind asking. (Or any of the others if they're available.) Hope I didn't come at a bad time.

I know each of you controls a side of your body but how does the talking working? Like, I know that you can each control half the face to make an expression different to the other. But when one speaks, does the whole mouth move or only your side of the face. Or does your mouth even need to move when you talk??? I'm so confused.

Speaking of (heh) talking, how many languages can you speak? I know you might of needed to speak more than one because not everyone guest is fluent in English, sooooo..? Any particular ones you like?

And...um... This is a little silly to ask but how much can you lift? Like I know you guys would be stronger than the average human but is there a threshold? Could you lift us up please? I MEAN could lift up another animatronic?

If you read the link the company does of course say they’re replacing the existing forums with new ones, and I’m sure no one would say the old ones didn’t perhaps need a lil bit of a glow up, some tech debt fixing… but there’s a few key notes in there:

They are NOT carrying over any history, data messages etc. from the old forums

They are NOT archiving, retaining or in any way saving the existing forums in any way

They have NOT provided any reasoning past ‘as part of continued efforts to support developers’

As an offhand, moderate read, this sounds to me like a desire for some change in the forums but deciding nuking everything is less expensive than rebuilding and carrying over info.

If I’m cynical, and likely realistic? Probably to increase sales of their latest GameMaker software by making it inherently more difficult for someone getting the older software for cheap pushing it to its limits. The amount of institutional knowledge on those forums is absurd.

And even if it is a benign reason, it’s still terrible because what do you mean you’re doing this with no recourse or potential for change? You sell software that runs on community goodwill? In an era where people are pulling away to open source software?? Crazy.

There are yeeeaaars of answers, plugins, suggestion, community built up on those forums - I’ve used the em to learn and grow my own skillet!!! And soon it won’t exist.

At the very least, they gave a ‘heads up’ - the deletion occurs mid December, so archiving by the community is possible from now. It’s just absurd that it needs to happen in the first place.

Pierrot and Harlequin look at each other with concern now.

"P-Perhaps I should try to help them calm down."

"Did they even eat yet? I swear they always forget, as if humans don't need to eat often..."

When Harlequin first met you, you were actually having a manic high episode. This was nothing new for you, especially when meeting new people.

But once those highs are over, you become more low, quiet, depressed too. And because of this, often people leave when they see this side of you.

You feared the same would happen with Harlequin. You had a feeling it would happen.

But you didn't want him to go. You actually enjoyed his presence and company. He made you feel happy and seen compared to anyone else.

So when you appeared before him one day, no longer with that bright and ecstatic energy he had come to know before. You were blunt with your words as they came out in a sad yet weak tone.

"...Would you still like me if I were like this for awhile...or forever?"

Harlequin stared at you, silent as he watched you. Then he took a step forward and wrapped his arms around you, pulling you in for a hug.
