Have you ever read a ttrpg ruleset with the desire to run something fun for your friends and then realize that the designers did not have your fun in mind at all? I have.

I really really wanted to like this. My friends and I love FFXIV. The ttrpg has some cool things for the players, but seemingly nothing to support thr GM's ability to have fun. We're just expected to make our own fun and have a good time with our pals, but that's hard when I'm being asked to adjudicate everything because the players are given no idea what any of their actions will cause.
