A Volkswagen Kharmann Gia Has No Radiator

Ok, this sounds fun! I have a scenario for it that I came up with like a year ago. It takes place between Cars 2 and Cars 3. Lightning Mcqueen is at the top of his career. Until there's a smear campaign against him. And it gets too serious too fast. He begins to lose sponsorships, he loses some racing oppurtinuties. At the same time, the WGP racers are missing one by one. After everything they had been through a few years back, Mater starts to think it cannot be a coincidence and decides to contact Holley(They're broken up in this story as well and they haven't spoken in months). Appearently, Professor Z and some of the lemons have escaped from jail a while ago. Holley puts two and two together and comes up with the idea that the lemon gang may have kidnapped the racers and are forcing them to make serious claims about Lightning Mcqueen. That since they couldn’t kill Lightning Mcqueen, they're trying to get revenge by ruining her career. Her and Finn gets down to the business. At the end, everything turns out well. The racers are saved, the lemons are arrested again. It flashed forward to a few months later, to Lightning and Sally's wedding. Lightning makes Finn his best man alongside Mater as a thanks for saving his reputation and career. Holley's one of the bridesmaids and she’s finally on speaking terms with Mater and other Radiator Springs residents again.

Assumption denied. I would love to learn it, tho. It sounds like a lot of fun.

The favourite pairing to write for would be Mater&Holley(Even though I broke them up in my fic). It's mainly because Holley is my favourite therefore my favourite one to write for and also I think they have so much potential as a pairing that wasn't explored properly canon. Imo, Mater and Holley are too different and alike at the same time. Holley is a smart sophisticated spy and Mater is a happy-go-luck tow truck from a small town. Yet they're both kinda insecure. Holley constantly doubts her abilities as a spy throughout the movie and a nervous wreck when she has to step out of her comfort zone. As for Mater, despite being a confident guy most of the time, he has his moments as well. Especially after his fight with Lightning Mcqueen in Cars 2. He believes he is just a tow truck. And I like to explore these concepts in my writing.
