haikyuu is incredible manâŚ
you ever think about the fact that some people exist not to become stars but to lead others towards the light? âŚ.
hinata was so moved by the little giant that his life found meaning the moment he came into his life (and the little giant never really ended up becoming a pro volleyball player in the first place despite his drive and talent!)
nekomata senseiâs âall we have to do is to lower the net!â shaped kurooâs entire existence. it left such an impression on him that kuroo turned it into his goal in life: helping as many people as possible discover volleyball.
kuroo himself never going pro but becoming instead a bridge between people and volleyball (which he loves so dearly he wants to make it everyoneâs business).
takeda senseiâs âHe Who Would Climb a Ladder Must Begin at the Bottomâ (which he says to hinata during his first year) became so meaningful to him that hinata hanged it on the wall of his bedroom in Brazil.
sugawara becoming a teacher and getting emotional when facing hinata (to whom he used to set when kageyama refused to do it) and kageyama (who quite literally took what had been his place up until the moment he came) and their growth.
you might think you will never end up doing anything great. instead, i believe you might not end up doing something grand, but whatever it is that you do in life it will always be great and you simply never know whether that one thing you said once or that one thing you once did will ever become the driving force behind someone elseâs dream.
Sorry Tsukki

god this owns so hard

read FMA and have become fully fascinated by Van Hohenheim. Genuinely has there ever been a better immortal character. His combination of invulnerability & low self esteem means he has about zero self-preservation instinct and will just let people knock him flat including his own 15 year old son.
His entire deal is that he became superpowerful by convincing 500000 ghosts to talk about their feelings but he's too nervous to talk to his own two sons because he thinks they don't like him. Which to be fair, they do not. but cmon dude.
So I work at a video game store in a mall and across the hall from us is this really nice suit shop. One day one of the guys came in an asked if they could use our microwave (the store they used to go to closed down) and we bargined for use of their bathroom in return since the mall bathrooms are like a 5 min trek.
So for like three months now we just have these men in really nice suits come in and talk while using our microwave and teach them about nerdy shit? Then I, the goblin king in various shitty tee shirts and paint stained pants, walk into their super expensive store and just get greeted with âYo dude whatâs good?â and talk about the pains of steaming silken dress shirts properly and itâs my favorite business interaction every day
A new jewelry store opened up right next to our store and when I used the bathroom today we were talking about it. I hate it on principle (they flooded our systems closet during building) and immediately both Suit Guys⢠working went on mini rants. âTheir suits are baggy as hell, I wouldnât trust them to sell me a $9,000 ring when they canât get a fitted jacket. They look so unprofessional, â and âI saw one of the dudeâs wearing a teal shirt. Itâs fall, and you go with teal? At least get a color to match your store if youâre gonna ignore the seasons like that, Christ, but teal is awful.â
I live for this commentary fam.
#flower shop/tattoo artist au is out #suit shop/nerd store au is in
I feel the need to add a story to this? My co-worker brought his longboard to work, and one of the suit guys reminisced on how he used to ride pretty often. So Co-Worker and I were like, âDude, go give it a spin, who cares, this mall is huge.â He was nervous about it because there are mall cops on segways everywhere (with helmets, like bruh, full on Paul Blart) and he was worried he was gonna get caught, and eventually we made a bet that he could ride down to Macyâs and back (itâs like a straight shot). So dead ass, this man hung up his jacket, took a running start, and zipped down the hallway with his tie in the breeze.
He evaded the mall cops and claimed that was, âOne of the biggest rushes heâs ever felt.â
LOVING THIS CONTENT
They did the character Abby Park in Turning Red so damn well. That little girl is filled with the kind of unchecked rage that can only be unlocked by a potent combination of bilingualism, puberty, hair salon mom guinea pig status, the most adorable chubster cheeks, boba addiction, and the absolute conscious knowledge that you will never grow to be taller than 5â1â at most in your mortal lifetime. This kid defines the oft casually slung descriptors feral, gremlin and chaos. Sometime in her twenties or thirties she will absolutely be arrested for biting somebody at least once. Y2k Korean-Canadian preteen fob girl hovering two seconds away from attacking anyone in her near vicinity at any given moment. We stan.

Okay but do y'all see how good movies can be when you include people of color and the narratives and design and writing are all focused on and led by people of color? When from the ground up, the very flesh of a movie is focused on narratives from a culture that aren't what we're used to seeing? Black Panther was the best Marvel movie I'd ever seen, and right up there with it is Shang Chi. None of the avengers movies reached the level that these two did. BP and SC are gonna stick in my mind FOREVER there was just SO much love and attention put into these movies.
Anyway some things to follow when youre a beginner cook:
Don't constantly shift your food around in the pan if you want to form a crust on it, the less you move it the better.
Don't be afraid to add water if youre frying up food and the food/sauce looks a bit dry.
Don't fry up your garlic early on in the cooking process (unless youre making a quick garlic oil) as the garlic flavour can straight up disappear if overcooked for too long and/or the garlic can become bitter if burnt
Don't overcook your vegetables. Look up recommended cook times for them. Your distaste for vegetables stems from them being overcooked and being poorly seasoned.
Don't microwave stuff for more than 2 minutes at a time unless you know what you're doing. Reheating stuff tends to fare better when you mix food between microwaving times since microwaves develop hotspots if you microwave it uninterrupted for too long.
Don't try cooking everything at the hottest setting. It's super tempting to have a high flame and do a meal quickly but actually follow directions and cook at medium or low heat.
These are such good tips!! Itâs crazy how many adults donât know some of these- once you learn them youâll wonder how you ever lived without them
Iâm currently in culinary school so I hope you donât mind if I add a couple tips myself:
Salt and pepper are your bffs, salt especially. Even a little bit of salt can have such an impact on a dish and it helps bring out and amplify all the other flavors in a dish
When youâre cooking green veggies, never EVER cover them. You may have grown up hating broccoli, green beans and brussel sprouts that were limp and that horrid shade of olive puke green. Itâs because if you cook or steam green veggies in a covered pot the enzymes and parts of the plant that make it green will break down and turn that nasty shade
Speaking of cooking vegetables, Iâm begging you to please please look up and try roasting veggies if youâve never done it before!! Itâs so so easy, it works beautifully with practically any vegetable you can imagine and you can season them however you wish!
My last tip is if youâre going to invest in any sort of kitchenware, have it be a good sharp knife and good quality pots/pans. And if you do end up getting these items, make sure you take good care of them! Most metal kitchenware will last longer if you hand wash them, as opposed to always running them through the dishwasher which will rust them so much faster. So make sure to look up proper care if youâre unsure
And most importantly, donât be afraid to make mistakes or mess up!!! Even in a professional kitchen accidents happen or things donât go as planned! Cooking is both a science and an art, and itâs just waiting for you to come be creative and experiment!!!
