My hot take is that Obi-wan and Cody never get married. NOT because they don't love each other or because of legal issues, but simply because culturally, marriage isn't really a thing to them and doesn't add anything to their relationship that they don't already have.

Cody is a clone and obviously raised without marriage ever even being a possibility. Jedi, as a whole, don't marry (this is getting into personal interpretations of Jedi culture but in my mind eschewing marriage is more of a symbolic gesture towards non-attachment. It does not mean that Jedi don't have dedicated long-term romantic partners).

Therefore, I think that neither of them would consider marriage to be important because it's not like marriage will somehow legitimize their love for each other more than being long-term partners.

In a no O66 AU, marriage doesn't seriously benefit them legally anyway. Obi-wan, as a Jedi, doesn't have public or private assets and money in his bank account would probably just be given to the temple upon his death. Cody might own property. But out of respect for Obi-wan being a Jedi, he would hand his assets to his brothers upon his death. (I also wouldn't be surprised if in a galaxy that's likely host to millions of cultures, estate and family law is a bit more generalized because marriage and family structure is different on every world and there's just no way to fit every single one into a single default family or marriage structure.)

Speaking and charisma is a deliberate skill, not a personality trait. A lot of people noted that in TBB Cody employs negotiation tactics on the mission to Desix and he probably learned them from watching Obi-wan. I'd actually take this a step further and say that Cody didn't just learn, but was deliberately taught. Cody was a) a Marshall Commander and b) deployed with Obi-wan, who is a diplomat, a public figure in the GAR and Jedi Order, and highly charismatic himself.

Relating to being a Marshall Commander, Cody is constantly in meetings and was trained on Kamino on how to effectively and clearly communicate plans and answer questions. He only got faster and better at this during the war when he would have back-to-back meetings and had to deliver orders during high-stress situations.

A rather grim HC I have is that when a clone dies, the medics will typically try and preserve the body, not so that funeral rites can be performed, but so that they can use the body to replace the parts from other injured clones. Essentially a more thorough and extreme organ donation system

Because clones are, well, clones, their blood type, body structure, etc. are almost all identical. Their bodies will recognize transplanted parts from other clones as their own and it is very easy to ensure they will not have to live with a disability that would take them out of commission permanently as long as the transplant happens quickly enough. As long as a dead clone is recovered quickly enough and the body is not too badly damaged, GAR medbays will typically preserve them to save the lives of living clones. TCW honestly kinda supports this because almost never see clones with missing limbs, despite it practically being a given because they're fighting a war.

Clones are honestly more than ok with this because they were a) raised to expect this and b) it's practical (if they're dead, they don't exactly need their body anymore. They might as well ensure their living brothers continue to live).

There are, of course, exceptions to this. Sometimes surgeries can't be done because there's too much damage or the surgery too invasive (ie wolffe's eye). If an injury is too old, nerves and issue have likely healed over making the surgery extremely difficult. If a clone's body has undergone too many changes and is vastly different from other clones, limbs simply might not fit anymore or their body might not recognize and reject transplants (ie Echo).

I have a HC that most clone troopers don't know what being sick feels like prior to leaving Kamino because they a) were raised in an extremely sterile and regulated environment, b) probably given every vaccine known to the galaxy, c) probably engineered with a boosted immune system, and d) treated for training injuries quickly and effectively enough that things like infection don't have time to set in.

It doesn't mean they're protected from EVERY disease in the galaxy, so the first time a trooper gets fever they actually have no idea what's wrong with them. They can recognize that they feel both hot and cold, struggle to sleep, sweat from every pore on their body, have a low-grade headache, are sensitive to everything touching their skin (in that everything feels like sandpaper), and have no appetite, but have no idea what's going on. They are legitimately shocked to find out that they have a fever (shiny medics on the other hand are ecstatic to diagnose a fever because they've never seen one on Kamino).
