^ yup. It also cultivates a weird ignorance to anyone who doesn’t fit into that ideal, I notice people overly invested in thinking anyone over 40 is rich doesn’t seem to notice middle aged working people, esp racialized people and immigrants, like nannies, janitors, etc. I have way more in common with them than I do with other 30 year olds who work for like, Lyft or Facebook or Google
