anyone else really want to just live in as many countries as possible, pick up as many languages and dialects as possible, absorb as much culture and ways of life as possible

Honestly, people generally don't want much... They want to eat their favorite food. They want to go to the seaside and smell the fresh air. They want to nap on the grass and listen to music. They want to hold their loved ones in their arms, and be held in return. They want warm clothes, be occupied with a profession/a hobby that does not smother them. They want to feel safe and unafraid. Mostly, they want to live without being ridiculed, manipulated or being forced. And this is why capitalism/modern life overall is so upsetting, depressing and even destructive. Because thinking about how small and simple things you yearn for & how hard it is to even be able to have them really wears you off

really just want to live a quiet life with quiet, genuine, humble people. not interested in loud people or dramatic situations. just want peace, and the sun, and tenderness, and warmth.

yes, you should be kind. you should be considerate and giving and caring and loving and nice to everyone you meet. however, when it gets to a point that people are not reciprocating your generousity and are taking advantage of your sweetness, you no longer have to treat them kindly. you can be a good person and say no to people doing you wrong. you should be kind, but you also should stick up for yourself in situations of injustice.

We really used to ask teachers if we could drink water.......what the fuck was that
