BEAUTIFULL FREEDOM

On Monday, my much awaited package from Bauble Bar Jewellery came!

As you guys know, I love watching fashion/beauty youtube gurus for some style inspiration ;P and I came across this line of jewellery called 'Bauble Bar'.

They are an online brand and have gorgeous statement necklaces, bracelets, rings and all sorts of elegant and modern bling! I actually stumbled on it because I loved Ingrid Neilson's necklace line from Bauble Bar!

However, as my hubby asked me what I wanted for my graduation present, I thought it'd be perfect to just combine my graduation present and Valentine's Day present into one! :) Since those days were so close to each other anyway and one of these pieces would more than enough for me! I think ;) hehe :P

And TA DA !! This package came in a HUGE box for just this 1 simple yet gorgeous ring! :D But I am in love with the packaging! The colours are just so vibrant and eye-catching!

But saying that, this ring although simple in style, has a lot of meaning and significance! As it marked my milestone in finishing university and has a personal engraving of 'J+M' which is our initials :D 

And rummaged in the box, was a little message from my hubby! So well done Bauble Bar! For knowing a girls heart and love for little details <3

Dont you love how big the package is? And if you notice, the box is reversible so it looks plain on the outside, but inside is this box of vibrancy and liveliness! 

it came with a velvet bag and a green envelope with the little message from my hubby :)

Oh em gee! Are you falling in love with the bright pink and how they tied the ring with simple ribbon? I am! <3

I've always loved the colour combo of hot pink with lime green :D reminds me of a watermelons!

Here is my precious bling ring! Although not very blingy, it's just so simple and thoughtful!

This ring is called: Custom Disc Charm Ring ! 

And you can get any engraving on it! Which I chose J+M and in Sterling Silver, size 4!

It's so different to any ring I currently own! And I think it's just such a great statement ring to wear for any occassion! Even casual or dressed up! 

I love the simplicity and the sleekness of it! <3

So that is a wrap of my little gift from my hubby from Bauble Bar! Even though it took 4 weeks to arrive, it was definitely worth to be excited about and I'm so glad it turned out and they didn't get the engraving wrong! 

I really love their jewellery line! Might go check out some more!

I recently went to the US for a holiday and I was super excited to get my hands (literally) on some Essie Nail polishes! I heard so many good reviews on them, and I do say - they are marvelous!

I have not tried all the 10 or so colours I bought, but I think the distinct difference with these compared to other nail polishes is that they are so easy to use because the colour pay-off is great, the size of the brush fits nicely on my nails and they dry pretty fast! Even the glitter nail polishes I used! 

Even for me, I may love painting my nails, but when it comes to painting my right hand, it can get quite messy! But not with Essie ;) (rhyme time there :P )

Here are the be-dazzling nails I did for a glammed up new years!

A beautiful pink canvas to some glittering stars! 

1. Coat your first layer with a beautiful everyday pink colour "eternal optimist" - I love their names!

2. Add some gradient-like pink glitters with different size sequins at the tip of your nails "A cut above the rest" 

3. To add some dimension, top off with this beautiful silver glitter with gold flecks called "hors d'oeuvres"

A beachy inspired nails with some edge! 

I decided to paint my 2nd last nail a glittery colour and do a turquoise nail tip against this gorgeous cobalt blue

1. Apply cobat blue colour "butler please" all over your nails except your 2nd last nail

2. Do a turqouise nail tip with "Turqouise & Caicos" a very pretty mint like colour! Excuse the nail lines, you can clean up the lines by colouring it with the blue. I did this rushed 

3. Paint your 2nd last nails with the same silver glittery polish "hors d'oeuvres" 

And sparkle sparkle! Your nails are all fab and ready for a colourful and bright year ahead :D

This red CK dress is one of my favourite dresses!

Featuring a mid-length, pencil dress with one-shouldered frill that goes across diagonally all the way to the bottom, it is perfect for any special occasion! <3

Talk about fuschia! This dress (Asos - Yes finally a dress not from my CK collection) is totally hot hot hot pink!

I actually wore it to a friends Wedding because it looked like such a nice and feminine outfit, except I did get it altered to go knee-length as it was 3/4 length originally and made me look short despite wearing 12cm heels! And it turned out much better :)

This dress actually features a long side split that goes towards the centre (overlapping the material of course :) ) and I also got that altered by sewing a 10cm section so it wouldn’t open even though it was one of the things that attracted me, I realised that when I walk it could definitely go wrong if I took slightly bigger steps. That’s a no no :)

You can see the side split more clearly here going diagonally, and as you can see, the little stitching has definitely helped!

Paired with this chameleon that goes with about anything! Nude suede heels with red bottoms! Has a little bow at the front :) Too cute!

I think I’ve been watching too much Hamish and Andy ‘Ultimate Wing Man’ LoL ! Inspired by, there was meant to be both sides ;)

Strike a pose on 3!

So, are abs made in the gym or the kitchen?

The answer is both! It takes about 30% workout and 70% a healthy diet to show your abs of steel! So as you can see only 1/3 of is exercise, and doesn’t count if you don’t eat right!

Remember the more colourful you are with your veggies, the healthier it is! So add some colour into your plate :D 

Here is a healthy lunch recipe to get you started (purchased from any fruit and veg grocer)

Ingredients:

- 1/2 handful of Mixed salad leaves

- 1/2 handful of Baby spinach leaves

- 1/2 chopped cucumber

- 1/2 dozen of sliced cherry tomatoes

- 1 boiled egg

- 200g of sliced cup mushrooms (not pre-sliced, fresh tastes better)

- 1/2 piece Garlic Chicken Breast Schnitzel

- 2 tbs of olive oil

- Black Pepper

- Cajun Spice

- Sesame seeds

Method:

1. Mix all the salad leaves with the cucumber and cherry tomatoes on the plate. I learnt the more freely and randomly you place it on the plate, the nicer it looks! You dont have to be too neat :) 

2. Boil an egg until its cooked to your liking. I had mine not fully cooked so some runny yolk parts. You can tell when its cooked when you spin the egg and as it slows down from spinning its not wobbling as crazy as a raw egg! Check this out for yourself ;)

3. Once egg is cooked, run it under cold water so you dont burn your hands. Slice them up and place them ontop of your salad.

4. Pan fry the Garlic Chicken Breast Schnitzel until its fully cooked (or white) on the inside and golden brown on the outside. keep an eye out so it doesn’t burn!

5. Once the chicken is cooked, carefully grab a knife and slice the freshly cooked chicken into strips and place it on top of your salad

6. Use the same frying pan with the remaining olive oil and fry the sliced cup mushrooms with some black pepper and cajun spice. Cook until brown and add it on top of your salad.

7. Toast some sesame seeds in the same frying pan and freely sprinkle on top of your salad.

Sparkle Sparkle! 

This dress (also from my CK collection) is such a beautiful elegant dress with the right amount of bling! It is a biege coloured sleeveless dress, knee length so very appropriate-friendly, and has these beautiful gold sequins around the neckline!

Absolutely love love love! <3 <3 <3 The sequins go from a heavier gradient at the edge to a more washed out pattern. 

Strut some moves! It is a perfect fit and hugs the body! 

The gorgeous gold detailing, bigger sequins on the edge of the neckline, with double sequins, to a more spread out smaller sequins at the bottom. 

Who needs a sugar rush when you have this stunning gold rush! ;)

My new heels from Singapore which I absolutely adore!

It was from a boutique in their Vivo Shopping Centre. Features a beige peep toe heel, with gold double chains, and snakes kin backing with a shiny gold heel! Oh em gee, I just feel in love with these shoes when I first saw them! And they go so well with this dress ;)

My aqua nail polish is from BYS (By Yourself) and is called "Let's Cruise", which totally induces that thought when I see this gorgeous colour :)
