Use Jamie Oliver's tried-and-true recipe to make your own pizza dough. It's easy, tastes great, and is perfect for making your favorite pizzas at home.
Ingredients: 500g strong white bread flour. 1 teaspoon fine sea salt. 7g active dry yeast. 1 tablespoon sugar. 325ml warm water. 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil.
Instructions: In a bowl, mix the yeast and sugar into the warm water and let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center. Pour the yeast mixture into the well, add the olive oil, and mix until it forms a dough. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until it's smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size. Preheat your oven to the highest setting, typically around 220C 430F. Punch down the risen dough and divide it into portions for your pizzas. Roll out each portion on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Place your pizza toppings of choice on the rolled-out dough. Bake the pizzas in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the toppings are cooked. Slice, serve, and enjoy!
