Something really cool happened on my walk today.

I had stopped for a little break and was just sitting there enjoying the quiet when I suddenly heard:

pip pip pip, pip pip pip.

A tiny little tit landed nearby, then hopped closer and closer. It didn’t seem scared at all. It actually let me take a picture before flying off like it had somewhere important to be.

I often meet deer, squirrels, birds other smal kritters. So now I’m left with two possibilities:

1. I briefly became friends with a bird.

2. I’m Snow White.

At this point, I’m not ruling out either. Anyway, it really made my day!

What a week that was. One of those where you get so much done, but at a glance it looks like nothing changed at all. Luckily the progress is measurable in other ways, and the dropped balls are all recoverable. I’m counting that as a win.

How was your week? All work, all play, somewhere in between?

My highlights were all wildlife‑themed: fluffy fledglings at the feeder, a young fox bold as brass, more bees and butterflies than I’ve seen in years, and the slow rewilding of neglected corners with a handful of wildflower seed. I can’t wait to see it all bloom.
