the next episode should just be the whole cast acting out KoTher'ai. I'm not joking. we can do all the other shit in the next episode. I've waited eight months now and I want to see the play within a play.

I am ITCHING for Wick and Tyranny to figure out Bolaire's whole Ish and then for Wick at least (because, lbr, Tyranny would just shrug) to actually CONFRONT Bolaire about the whole 'being a parasite who quickly burns through your hosts, partially because you torture them by withholding food and water' thing.
I think Taliesin is angling HARD for that confrontation! But he really needs someone to take him up on the offer!! My man is out here basically BEGGING for someone to dig deeper into his entire morally-dubious build and I think Wick, who has managed to maintain at least some of his sweetness and naievete in face of the world, is perfectly positioned to do that.
Let's make that mask confront some uncomfortable truths about his own hypocrisyyyy :3c

oh to be marisha ray getting the best seat in the house to whatever the fuck these women have going on
happy pride <3
Theres something so intrinsically kind and loving about Thaisha instantly going 'you have a room' to Occtis saying he is going to meditate in the courtyard. This man who has been outcast and hated by his family so much he was quite literally murdered by them. He's given a place, unhesitatingly, among the people who truly love and care for him. She doesn't press it either, just makes him the offer and lets him make the choice with no pressure.
Feeling sappy about Hal and Thaishaβs children again. I made a previous post before discovering Alogar wasnβt at the Make-an-Angel workshop talking about how his heroic stand against the undead was probably inspired by his heroic mama. And now we have Shadia, just like her papa, using her craft to make her own stories, and following Halβs lead and taking her own stand. Sheβs the one who put the Faerie Doors at the front, her love of stories and history was what changed the blades into something new.
Shadia and Alogar are foils to the children of the Sundered Houses and Shapers. Theyβre inspired by their family but not controlled by them, theyβre deeply loved but not coddled. Their parents want them to be safe, but still have faith that they can hold their own. They respect their childrenβs autonomy. They take after their parents because their parents loved them and gave them the space to choose their own paths. They donβt need their parents and are not forced into depending on them (as we see with Sylandri.)
I donβt really have the words to finish my thoughts on this, just feeling sappy about how family is explored in this season.

murray and azune having conflict over their worldviews and her concern over how deep his lies are and if heβd ever actually turn against what they both have fought for and believe in: β
framing murrayβs occasional distrust of azune and her lack of infantilizing him vs demodus (her student) in an unflattering light because you think azune deserved better/more sympathy: β
no but seriously, to negatively frame the difference between how murray treats azune (grown, 27-year old man she works with) and demodus (22-year old grad student she feels responsible for) is so disingenuous. yeah, demodus is in his 20s. but murray is, what? mid-40s? and a professor at a school where he is a student? of course she calls him "kid." azune is not that much older than demodus but he is older, and exists far outside of the institution where murray has seniority and authority. azune is a peer. demodus is a student. murray treats them appropriately under those differing contexts.
and murray's concerns about azune's lies eating him alive to the point where he starts believing them/working against her are an interesting reflection of her character and her fears and should not be minimized into people being upset with how she treats him. maybe it's about murray, and not about azune, and maybe we should pay less attention to her being ungenerous to him and more to what it says about murray's current anxieties. or is that centering her too much for some people
So! This is a perfect case study in situations where you should be wary of misinformation.
Take a moment and ask yourself, a project like this requires a lot of time, money and dedication of resources, why would scientists dedicate that time to something that could just be done by a tree?
The answer is they wouldn't. So that means this claim requires further investigation!
This project is called LIQUID 3, and it's not meant for cities with wide open spaces, it's meant for cities like Belgrade in Serbia. These cities are densely populated and heavily polluted, to the point where pollution actually chokes out current trees and makes creating green spaces difficult.
Liquid 3 was a PhD scientists answer to these problems. The microalgae tank is intended for spaces where you either:
Don't have enough space to plant full trees, or
Don't have enough time to plant trees and wait for them to grow up.
The tank is extremely efficient when you consider the amount of space needed compared to the amount of CO2 turned into oxygen. The tank can operate throughout the winter. And most importantly, it can be quickly set up in areas that desperately need relief from air pollution NOW not in 10 years when trees are done growing. Children currently suffocating on polluted air can't wait for trees to grow, they need to be taken care of now, and Liquid 3 is one of the ways to take care of them. Depending on the species of microalgea used, a number have shown a pretty amazing capacity to pull heavy metals out of the air which is something trees can get choked up by.
The tanks aren't just tanks either! Liquid 3 have solar panels placed on top, they have lighting and mobile phone charging, and they work as public benches. The designers of it want to encourage green spaces where there's room, but where there isn't room or time, Liquid 3 can step in. Realistically, this isn't a replacement for trees. It's replacing boring metal city benches with new, cooler benches that also clean the air (and have at least some heating during the winter).
Not only that, but the microalgea that grows is native to Serbia and all that microalgea has a ton of great uses! It makes for great fertilizer, compost, wastewater treatment, cleaner biofuels and even for helping create new tanks for further air purification. They only require a quick algae divide once a month, and the produced algae can be carted off to where ever it's needed. This makes them effective solutions for areas that can't sustain complex installations.
So yeah, there's actually quite a lot of places that would like these. Lots of people currently breathing in terrible quality air would much rather have their boring city benches replaced with really fucking cool algae tanks that clean the air and can be used to help create + sustain future green spaces in cities. I dunno about you, but I'd take that over a dumb metal bench any day. Put these at every bus stop and I'd be delighted.
can ppl pls reblog this version
Serbian here living in Belgrade! This is all true and I've actually seen some of these around the city a few times. They're amazing at what they do and really cool to watch up close because you can see pretty swirling inside them. It's not only functional but aesthetically pretty nice as well!
We said 'flower-doll' not because that's how we saw you, but because it's what we knew she saw you as. An eternity, to have all of your complexity, all of your possibility, all of your dreams folded into an idyllic paradise where you would be punished for the most minor infraction?

there's a few ships where i firmly believe they wouldn't be a cute domestic couple but i do think that they'd probably be thinking of each other in their last moments going "hey was that gay?"
they would not make each other coffee in the morning, but they would one hundred percent spend the rest of their short sad lives having wet dreams about each other where they wake up and go "that was weird as fuck" and then move on immediately
