I saw a video by [creator] on yt abt how deltarune is the reverse of undertale(or should I say Undertale is the reverse retelling of Deltarune), and ik it sounds like a crackpot theory but it might hold some water. Just wanna put it out there, Alphys is mighty suspicious. Not only did she send Kris and Susie to the closet in chapter 1 without listening to Noelle, she didn't check up on them. She knows a lot abt the shelter despite(i assume) being new around hometown. She's the only one without an alibi when the knight is around(aside for Papyrus, but that's a whole other can of worms I'm not gonna unpack), and a few other stuff, best to watch that video on yt(this theory was only mentioned briefly but it somehow convinced me)(the video itself is also a basis for a few items on this list)
Spamton and Tenna were shown in the trailer for some reason, I'm still confused as to why. They'll probably get the chance to talk to each other if Tenna is still in Castletown
There's some speculation going around that the Holiday household will also have a darkworld this chapter, since we still don't have all the bunker codes and all that, and we might find out more on what happened with Dess. A lot of stuff related to chapter 5 right now leads to the holiday household, so I'd be stoked if this comes true
Whole house mad theory is a theory that everyone will be burned in an inferno of jealousy, meaning every one is gonna be jealous of each other
All the undertale motifs so far have only appeared in the lightworld other than the motifs in the secret bosses(i.e. spamton, gerson, potentially jevil if u count the gaster theme), so hopefully if Flower King IS the darkworld instead of the town or smth then an Undertale motif will be featured prominently in it

The thrash machine didn't appear in chaoter 4 iirc, and the way you create it is similar/the same with the vessel. Ik this feels like cheating, but I'm still counting this one if there's connections explicitly stated in the game between the thrash machine and the vessel

Catti has been hinted at by the game to be important, with her color scheme also being Friend's color scheme. I hope we see more of jockington too
I'm not sure if anyone else has made this connection yet, but "The place where it rained" has the motif that plays in Sans's "It's raining somewhere else", as Onionsan put it: it's not exactly a "new" song. It's also what's playing before and after Susie asks if you heard whatever that was in the water. I've seen ppl theorizing abt the old song of the sea, but I'm not sure if they've thought of this one specifically
Sans was in the Dreemurr household when the chapter ended, so there's a chance he might still be there when we wake up. He might have a more significant role too, i just have a feeling he does
Kris and Susie got a new secret weapon in chapters 3 & 4 respectively, so Ralsei might get one too, since Susie's weapon made Jevil's Knife kinda useless after u get it. Puppet scarf might have the same fate, and that would make the Dealmakers and Jevil's Tail more useful
The forgotten man will probably make his last appearance here, so I'd like to see what he looks like and who he is
Asriel should be at the festival, if he's not then something's probably happened to him. It's perfect timing, I'd be more surprised if he didn't show up, at least at the end

It's always so funny to see people complaining about "why is Spamton so present in fanart? Why is he always with Tenna? Why is Tenna's most famous ship with Spamton?? There are so many other characters in Deltarune! Why do people love him?"

Draw and write it yourself then! People aren't going to stop just because you, some random person on the internet, don't like it. You sound like a spoiled child.
Second, I'm sorry but it's so fucking obvious that Toby Fox LOVES Spamton. There was the Spamton Sweepstakes, Spamton Q&A, Spamton has been the mascot of two charity campaigns. And it's also obvious that Toby Fox also loves spamtenna and them being a couple is important to the story, just like alphyne is. If you don't like this, then you're playing the wrong game lol
And Spamton is simply interesting in SO many different ways! He's not just a spam. He knows how to draw. He has hobbies, a personality outside of his function of being a spam. He actually goes against the function of being a spam, he tried to be honest and have good products (unlike the Addisons btw). He tried to be much more than that, he tried to get married (the ring in the sweepstakes) and even had a daughter (Pipis). He tried to help people who were struggling like him, trusting this person even knowing the danger (Tenna).
He was one of the first darkners to discover how oppressive and wrong the darkner mentality is, and he's against it. He shares the same opinion as our heroes Susie and Kris about it.
Spamton canonically belongs to several marginalized groups. He is openly (and much more proudly than his partner, btw) queer. He clearly has mental disorders, and explicitly canonically has physical disabilities. He glitches, where he lives too, is called a "corrupted program," literally can't speak normally like he used to, has had religious psychosis, has PTSD, has panic attacks, and his reaction is to run away without thinking. He is shorter than other Addisons (and characters offend him with ableist tones about it twice). He is canonically disabled, both physically and mentally.
He is homeless and without medical care. For years. Due to government negligence (Queen and Swatch), and lack of help from those who should be his friends (Addisons and Tenna). They all failed Spamton and bear responsibility for Spamton's precarious state; some bear more responsibility than others, but they all share it.
Spamton is the uncomfortable truth that shows that silly and funny characters like Queen and Tenna can do horrible things (and even be abusive too). Spamton shows the classism that people in the fandom didn't even know they had within themselves.
Spamton has many mysteries and possible theories surrounding him. He is heavily connected to Gaster and FRIEND. He knows a lot and even tried to tell us about the Roaring Knight in his shop.
Like Chara, Spamton will only help us with the non pacifist route if we kill everyone first. No one is left alive. They are two mentally unstable characters who can be influenced by our actions. This route is about the two of them not breaking the cycle of abuse and convincing them that this is the way it has to be done. And guess who else Toby Fox loves? Our little chocolate Chara! Toby even confirmed that they're the last person to be saved.
Spamton also has religious trauma and religious psychosis. He would spend hours praying to NEO before being evicted.
Spamton is canonically a survivor. It's quite obvious that Spamton didn't consent to having his body completely altered and turned into a puppet. He had all his autonomy taken away from him. He was neglected. He was physically abused. There are texts that implicitly mention prostitution and being beaten for money.
Spamton has the theme of being non conforming, against prophecy and fate; but also the theme of classicism and prejudice against homeless people; themes about disability and injustice, being neglected and abandoned, to be resilient, to not give up.
Spamton is such an amazing character when you don't take as absolute truth what some privileged classist characters (who victimize themselves while they vilifying and/or victim blame him) think of him
