i don't really care for pro anti discourse, i'm more along the lines of anti-censorship. (people are allowed to have creative freedom, allowed to write and make as they please, theres some super amazing depictions of SA and other content in some books that people do not like because the topic at hand is taboo. i wish more people would create art and media that isn't super super glorifying but shows the reality.) dylan honestly wasn't even doing anything uplifting or showing good depictions, he just writes about the topics because he wants to make people mad. or its clearly just poorly made. take the fat guest AU for example, dylans portray of a veteran being aggressive and abusive because of PTSD is a common stereotype about veterans relating to mental health. he got under fire for that and tried to excuse it by saying hes projecting. which doesn't matter. its still harmful. most people just don't like what he makes because its not even well written. and his stories n what not don't make sense or fall into harmful stereotypes. others get praised for the same things he does because they actually put effort and understanding. you HAVE to know what you're writing to make a good story.

honestly i feel like dylan falls into the same box as popular artists like birdie n what not. yes you may have had a bad up bringing, but instead of thinking "maybe i should get help to get better" you decide to keep being the way you are and think "everyone is just abusing me, im not doing anything wrong" when he clearly is the one doing everything, and people are reacting to said abuse. also not to mention hes using the fact he has did to make it look like he has "evil alters" and that his alters run blogs not him, and that his past doesn't apply because "im not the alter who did that!!" i hate to tell you, but did / osdd is still you. those alters are still you. they are split fragments of your mind that exist to cope with childhood trauma. you still have to take accountability for what they do, doesn't matter what it is. (i literally have osdd / did. and i don't use it as an excuse.)
