Unfortunately I Draw

Cool gamer fact, I can't smell how bad (at least some cultivars of) durian is.

Ignoring my dozens of WIPs, this might not be the most helpful advice, but I kinda Just Do It. The intimidation of starting gets more in your way than doing it imperfectly or slowly. My Deltarune comic has been something I just take it easy and do whatever feels fun with few restrictions. It's great practice. Some comics I can bang out in a single day for better or worse, like the Knight UberEats and Sleepover comics. It's important to have something you actively enjoy drawing and can draw quickly to maintain that kinda pace. I have a lot of practice drawing characters, and Deltarune characters have pretty simple and fun designs to draw. Granted this doesn't count the gestation time that a comic might sit in my head before I start drawing. Just start and keep practicing! If you have a story you enjoy telling, you'll get better and faster as you get used to it. I've actually been putting off the current comic I'm working on for months. Believe it or not, I'm actually a very low energy person. I just like drawing and telling stories a lot.

Remember to feed your prisoners. I procrastinate by being productive in other ways.

I don't really like drawing about things that might have actual answers. For things in their childhood, I generally go with safe and has a pretty solid canonical basis type stuff. Unless I'm really yucking it up like with the Fangamer merch bit I like doing and plan on keep doing.

Toby pls don't torment our gamer too much. While losing a hand isn't impossible to recover from, having a huge bar getting in the way of your passions would be devastating. If I lost my drawing hand, like bruh.

Thought process: What would Kris' headband look like in the Dank World? Can't just be a headband again, things are seldom 1:1 in there. Retaining the horns is a must. Sharp things cool, bear traps cool, put one on your head. I think I have vague memories of a piece of armor that kinda looked like that, but without the hinge. When it closes it looks like a knight's helm. Kris is dressed like a knight, vaguely diamond themed. Put some diamond holes in it so they can see. Knight visor mouth Roaring Knight mouth eyes woah is like the same.

When it's hot, I cope by designing outfits for the heat. I also enjoy drawing parody products, but only once. Kris' preferred drink being the stereotypical baby weeb's favorite drink strengthens my gag theory of them being a closet weeb. I am slowly inching towards completion of my next comic. I needed more panels than expected to convey the hey.

I was practicing drawing my own characters for a bit and found these old colored sketches I never posted for some reason. It feels like it's been a while since I drew them properly, so it feels like even if my overall anatomy's gotten better, I'm struggling to capture the expressive nuances. Ah well, I'm sure I'll get it eventually.

I just wanted to compile all of the horns headband doodles in one place.

I accidentally cooked a little too hard, so they get to be a little cool for a little bit. They're still just a little traitorous baby to me.
