BODIES OF WATER // For this week’s sustainability focus, our team is narrowing in on how we can protect our water supply and minimize our water use. * We encourage the elimination of soaps, skin care products, and detergents that contain NO phosphate, chlorine, ammonia or petroleum solvents. These cumulatively pollute our #freshwater sources and #oceans.  * We are reminded to use only #whatisneeded, to shorten showers, have appropriate gardening (drought tolerant in California), and to run full loads of laundry :) * To save water, we recommend using “grey water” (clean water that has already been used) whenever possible. * To be #mindful when #recycling , and ensuring that all plastics are striped from their labels and lids. By doing this the percentage of #recycled goods will increase and can help to minimize #microplastics outputs. * If possible develop your garden in your home and minimize total paved area.
