Me, every time I read about Greek anything concerning the Imperial Palace: *climbs on the nearest peaked roof* THEY. ARE. IN. CHINA. CHIIIIIIINNNNNNAAAAAA.
I’m sort of disappointed there is no Indian anything. There is terribly ancient and diverse Indian civilisation that lays right under the feet of the Palace. All mountains around the Palace bear Indian names.
There are way too many white male writers unironically continuing the pseudo-Latin wankery, not only limited to the Ultramarines but also literally everything else the Imperium has named. It’s so stale.
Here are some suggestions, BL, totally for free, from Sanskrit which is one of the oldest languages in my region the Nusantara, which itself had some of the oldest civilisations in the history of humanity.
Istana Emas: Golden Palace
Akar Bintang Manusia: Root of Humanity’s Star
Panglima Mata Hari: Warriors of the Sun
Gerbang Abadi: Immortal Arch (or Gate)
Pewaris Angkasa: Inheritor of the Sky
Panah Chahaya Bumi: Arrow of Earth’s Light
Laungan Pemerintah: Ruler’s Call
And last but not least,
Maha Devaraja Kenchana Bala Raksasa
Golden God-Emperor, Bale of Monsters
Ah! Sanskrit always sounds cool.
