Looking at old Gundam cast lists makes me long for a world I'm not sure ever existed.

The cast is allowed to look a little odd. Not every single one of them was designed with the intent to make you, the consumer, want to fuck them (just char, obviously.)

Like, I'm so tired of mirror sheen perfection, I guess. Its not exciting or sexy at all.

maybe this is stick-in-the-mud of me but "haha look at this bad art" or even "haha look at this bad art style" type humor always peeves me. yes even if its really goofy looking or an over the top fan character or a ''cringe'' subject, it will never land.

besides the fact that most of the time its full grown adults making fun of middle school aged kids drawing their favorite characters because it makes them happy, i just dont get the appeal. like the whole punchline is "this person posted something vulnerable so lets make them suffer for it". we're supposed to laugh because that a person tried hard, wanted to share that with other people, but we think it turned out bad and that they should feel ashamed instead of happy. and i mean this no exceptions- that'll never be funny to me.

i understand that humor is often mean and thats sort of the point but idk man its always a bridge too far for me. this is my woke line in the sand.
