People demand fans of colour to be soft & gentle & have articulate thought out criticisms at all times. Never be wrong never be loud never be mean you have to coddle White fans and creatives, otherwise you're part of the problem. Never mind that your whole experience in fandom has been one macroaggression after another. Never mind that fandom can never be your escapism, because the discrimination you face in real life is often present in both the media you love and the fandom you participate in. Never mind that even when you are soft & gentle & articulate people will still get angry. Just shut up and let White people go to their beautiful fantasy world where people like you don't exist
how exactly does one acquire the will to live
they hate me for my flat facial expressions and inability to contribute to conversations

it's important to yell "fuck you kill yourself" at the tv advertisements to counteract the mind control
Imagine being the gays at a pride event in 2004 living their lives when someone grabs the microphone and announces to the room that Ronald Reagan was pronounced dead. Can you even imagine the hype, the celebration, the pure elation
This is the Pride Month that It will happen. I feel it in my gay bones
if I was a musician and a majority of my fanbase was white gay men I think I would blow my shit smooth off
People are unfazed if you hate women but if you dislike dogs they assume you're a bad person

My toxic trait is that no matter what I need three hours to myself at the end of the day to do absolutely nothing.
In 2026, the chicest thing a gay actor can do is never explicitly come out as gay but also make it abundantly clear that he is. Coming out is too modern. Staying closeted is too old fashioned. But this method merges contemporary freedom with Old Hollywood glamour and allure, and it weeds out the dumbest people who truly don’t get it. I call it the Pascal Method.
wonderful things happening in the notes and i deserve it for making this post ❤️
straight edge ppl: i get so gay off that NOTHING

it's baffling to still see people be like "you can convince white conservatives to like socialism if you don't use buzzwords! and then work on racism later" in the united states. like yeah, it probably is really easy to convince people that having things is good. how are you going to convince them that the people they hate having things isn't a problem?
#any analysis of class issues in the us that doesn't take anti-black racism into account is a fairy tale#if you haven't come around to the fact that republicans hate black people more than they love god i don't know what to tell you
republicans hate black/brown/poor people with the white hot intensity of 10,000 suns
we are NEVER going to advance, make any progress, or get anything nice like other countries until white people actively dismantle racism. it's just never going to happen.
...It's crazy that you saw the word "black" and still read "black/brown/poor"-- and I'm not saying that means these populations don't hate "brown" and "poor" people-- but that's just a symptom of the same social & cultural problem.
Where even if you say, here is a unique and specific example of violence and bigotry against this community, whose oppression is intrinsically so tied to the national identity that they were always rendered lower than 'brown' or 'poor' by force. Here is a specific problem that we need to address, because sweeping it aside keeps every ill built on its foundations alive, including how 'brown' and 'poor' are defined and exist.
Then someone says, what if it was actually a more vague problem about a lot of things instead, but in a way where we can also piggyback off your original conversation? And they do this instead of just making their own standalone point, because it's still about entitlement to build on the back of someone else's suffering, or visibility, or conversation. It's the same thing.
"You can convince white progressives & moderates to like anti-racism if you let them redefine anti-racism! And then work on the underlying racism later."
