So I was watching OPLA season 2 the other day, and in episode 4, Luffy mentions that beef bourguignon is “one of their chef’s specialties”.

My first reaction was “Ah yes. Because Sanji’s supposed to be french. That’s nice.”

But then I realised that the concept of beef bourguignon existing in OPLA also implies the existence of Bourgogne, a region in France, which gave the dish its name. Now, beef bourguignon isn’t actually from Bourgogne, but it still is very heavily associated with it. So, Bourgogne and therefore France are now canon to OPLA . And that’s just too funny to ignore.
