Im sad cause I had a favourite button up shirt that my mom used to wear but it got too old, so she let me use it as a night gown, and I've worn it so much over my student years that the fabric got too fragile and it tears at every tension spot, to the point where I realized I can't keep sewing it up, so it stays at my childhood home that I only visit like once in half a year to check if everything is OK cause nobody's here for war reasons, and cause I'm usually here alone I just wear my torn shirt and wait until it becomes destroyed beyond any wearability. Bet if someone wrote smth like that into a fic they'd get called cheesy for having symbolism that's so on the nose
