I think youtube has just managed to enshitten itself in a way that cancel it's previous shittingess, cause on mobile now there is a button to look something up with Google lense when you pause a short. Now, I watch shorts because my brain is rotted and my life would have been better if I didn't, but the addition of an irritating "open a second app that doesn't have any of my permissions FOR A REASON and now won't shut down until you close all of it's pop ups" button right where my finger falls when I try to unpause a video might just piss me off enough to get me off the dopamine hit spiral
