ITβS A WONDERFUL LIFE (1946) β’ JIMMY STEWART as George Bailey and LIONEL BARRYMORE as Mr. Potter
We are often asked, what radicalized you?
I would argue that we were radical and always have been. The "American Dream" was sold to the general population as an achievable that lofty goal.
The idea that one man is the same as the next under the law is radical.
Equal work for equal pay is radical.
Living and dying in a free society that is radical.
A society free from the Political grip of greed is radical.
I believe in the free world The way George Bailey did. So much so that when I see it come crashing down it empties my soul.
But I will spit in Potter's Eye if I have to crawl from my grave to do so.
