It started "innocently" with Anna stating she loves Harry Potter and that she doesn't believe in Twitter drama. (We all know it's not just Twitter "drama" when actual people's lives suffer from those tweets because they incite hatred in specific groups of people.)

I used to be a Harry Potter fan, I think most of us were but in this day and age? I just don’t feel comfortable in that fandom, world or whatever. I don’t ever want to give my money to someone who uses it to terrorize an entire group of people in the guise of “feminism” which is exactly what JKR is doing. And from my stalking I know that Anna shares those TERF “believes” (I’d call that hatred not a believe).

Anna asked us to educate her on the topic as she “dgaf about jk rowling’s twitter wars”, so we did that. We told her about marginalized groups of people who were victims of JKRs online campaigning. Told her names and everything but Anna acted obtuse on purpose. Asking the same question over and over again. Not listening to a word we said.

'Can you guys give me an example of her hurting someone directly, is a question for exactly that. A direct example. Just saying 'trans people' isn't an answer to that. It's true, yes it is, but it's not what she asked for. Just like with the article she send about the donation to Afghanistan, I think she wanted something concrete like that. That name you gave her was a good answer, but she asked you about the contexts and specifics, since she didn't know about it, so just a name is only a start of that conversation.

Otherwise, I was deeply shocked by this callout. Even if they are 27, they are human, and the things you assumed about them 'transphobe, fetishiser' are not nice to hear.
