I actually like sonic more than shadow

"No, it was a calculated decision." Silver turned his chin up, flaunting his pretty muzzle so that his neck peeked over his blue scarf. Sonic blushed and tugged at his neckerchief. "We discussed it beforehand, remember? It was part of the plan."

"I'm pretty sure the plan was for you two to blow up Eggman's mecha death ray...?" Amy prompted, twirling her hand for them to finish the story. "How did you even get to Plan G."

Where should Sonic begin. "Okay, so Plan A was punching the tar out of it with my feet."

"K–Kicking it...?" Tails asked weakly, sounding as though he'd lost all hope.

"That's what he just said." Knuckles pointed out, helpfully.

Sonic continued. "But like, that didn't work."

"The shell was obviously made with an indestructible metal alloy only forged in the fires of my Future." Silver huffed, irritably. "That stuff's got a melting point higher than the surface of the sun, you know."

Tails made to say something like "you're just making crap up right now" but Sonic was already continuing the story.

"So Plan B was crushing the tar out of it with Silver's freaky alien powers."

"Psychokinesis. And we skipped Plan B because the metal was indestructible." Silver rolled his gorgeous gold eyes. "Plan C was leading the mech to the beach so that we could tip it into the ocean."

"But Eggman made it amphibious!! For some freaking reason!!" Sonic threw his hands up.

Knuckles nudged Tails. "That's what I would do if I lived on the beach."

"Knuckles, we do live on a beach." Amy muttered.

"Anyway," Silver spoke over them. "In Plan D, I tried to hurl it into the atmosphere. But the stupid thing just sprouted wings."

Sonic sighed, looking at Silver with a slightly bitten lip. "Nice throwing form, by the way."

"Thanks." Silver grinned back, fangs on full display.

"Ahem." Amy cleared her throat loudly, getting their attention back. She waved her hand again. "Plan E?"

"Silver lobs me at it like a basketball." Sonic said, as though this were the most obvious conclusion. He tapped his chin. "I figure there's like, a weak point in the thinner joints I might be able to smack a few screws out of."

Tails, Amy and Knuckles stared at him in surprise.

"That's... probably one of the smartest things you've thought to do." Tails said. "Why didn't it work?"

"Electric forcefield." Sonic smacked a fist into his other palm and blew a raspberry. "Bug zapper. Pbblt. Should've seen that coming."

"Many such cases." Silver nodded sagely. "Don't be too hard on yourself."

Gaia, these two are made for each other. Amy and Tails thought, feeling as though they're getting actively stupider the longer these two went on. Knuckles was fascinated by the fact that Silver's glittery cyan lip stain was still all over Sonic's mouth.

"So I hit the ground, and Silver enacts Plan F." Sonic continued, and he pops his hands in a little firework gesture. "Name-calling."

They're met with blank, flat expressions.

"Oh, come on. Silver's got swears that aren't even invented yet!" Sonic crowed indignantly.

"They certainly didn't impress Eggman." Silver shook his head. "They just made him angrier. So Sonic said, and I quote; 'you might as well kiss me at this point, nothing else is working.'"

The trio stared.

"And... this..." Amy spread her hands. "...worked?"

"Yes." Sonic and Silver said, simultaneously.

"Silver stands me upright with his freaky alien powers—"

"Psychokinesis."

"Yeah, that, and then he swoops—" He connected his two hands in a loose grasp. "Mwah. He's got my head in his hands. Dude's kissing me like the only oxygen left in the world is in my lungs—"

"You can skip the fine details." Amy said, unimpressed.

"Anyway, it catches Eggman off guard." Silver pointed a finger up intelligently. "He accidentally elbows his little square robot minion into the self-destruct button."

Silence.

"THATS IT?!" They heard Sticks's cry of incandescent disbelief from all the way across the beach.

"WHY ARE YOU ALL THE WAY OVER THERE?!" Sonic shouted to her.

"BECAUSE YOUR FREAKY ALIEN BOYFRIEND IS TRYNA GIVE OFF PSIONIC BRAINWAVES TO CONTROL MY DELICATE MIND!!!"

Sonic turned to Silver, eyes half lidded. "Well, you heard it from her. Guess that makes you my freaky alien boyfriend."

Silver leaned in again, a devilish grin breaking his handsome handsome face. "Whatever you say."

The others loftily ignored them. "It had a self-desctruct button?!" Amy hissed to Tails and Knuckles, incredulously.
