Base update!

I've decided to start calling this base Valley Farm, but I have a lil road that goes to up the river on the left up to the coast and I've started a lil base over on the rocky beach area over there. (I'm calling that area Stone Beach)

I'm still on the hunt for cows or llamas, and thus a reliable source of leather, but I've made due and managed to scrape together the start of a lil library/enchanting area and I'm very happy with how that's been going!

#I'm also debating if I wanna transfer some of the villagers from a nearby village into something way less perilous #and establish a villager hall and new lil village for them? idk ... their village literally spawned in a cliff face is SO bad #it also doesn't help my base is within render distance of BOTH a village and a woodland mansion #so we get a lot of pillagers through here #minecraft

So- I was originally intending on using this blog to post mainly liminal and spooky Minecraft stuff but.... I just want to talk about my survival base, man.

It's grown a little bit since I've taken this picture, I have a horse and donkey stable that's half done right now.

The funny thing is I know by many many players standards, I'm playing this game extremely slowly? But I also genuinely don't care for some of the combat aspects of this game and I'm enjoying building up a little settlement for myself and going out and hunting down specific resources as I go along.

I genuinely don't have much interest in the Nether or The End as of right now because of my dislike of the combat, so my focus is on building resources to make it easier. Like figuring out an enchantment set up, actually taking the time to learn get better at combat etc. I'm nowhere near ready to jump into the more intense aspects of the game yet lmao.

#99% of my experience with this game up until now has been exclusively in creative mode #I've kind of avoided survival until now? but it's definitely clicking with me #minecraft

#I need cows lapis and diamonds so bad bc I'm trying to build an enchanting set up #something feels very weird and gross to me about the idea of using a horse leather #especially for a horse saddle #but if it comes down to it and all I can find are horses and donkeys I guess it'll do #minecraft #survival
