good news everyone. crows no longer need instructions to build tools and have started building them from memory, as well as passing the knowledge onto future generations of crows. oops!
better news everyone. crows have learned to construct these tools from unrelated items! they no longer need to follow the original blueprint they were given and are able to improvise using their surroundings.

And here we have the logical endpoint of victimhood culture. But at least itās just one random person I found on Tumblrinact-
/sigh
Yeah, no. If youāve been raped or sexually assaulted you should absolutely report it if you ever want to see justice for what happened to you and if you want to stop it from happening to someone else.Ā
Considering theres no non-state alternative that I know of, then yeah, report.
I see zero compassion here for the suffering of victims. I see only people who want to impose what they feel is best onto victims.
And this is why Rape Crisis centers would never allow any of you to work or volunteer for them. First of all, you are screened for Rape Myth beliefs. Secondly, training includes statistical knowledge on the criminal justice system being a major failure to victims and a source of what is known as āThe Second Rapeā because the criminal justice process is equally as traumatizing on rape survivors as the actual rape.
Out of every 1000 rapes, only 6 offenders get incarcerated. - https://www.rainn.org/statistics/criminal-justice-system
A large portion of rape victims are in total denial that what happened to them was rape and they remain in a relationship with their rapist. (Bill Cosbys victims)
Itās ironic considering that antifeminist extremists will be the ones to jump all over these poor victims and scream āfalse accusationā if one of the following happens: - The case is dropped due to insufficient evidence for a winning case (what happens to most of them) - They recant out of fear of retaliation. - They are promiscuous or a sex worker. - They were drunk/high during the assault. - Their trauma is causing memory lapses. - They are not āactingā like a stereotypical victim.
Victims need to feel safe, first and foremost. Victims of sexual violence need sensitivity and compassion, not to be pressured into reporting.
Every victim I have ever counseled a victim, they admitted their greatest fear was that the police, their friends, family, the public etc would not believe them or accuse them of lying. That is the main reason victims choose not to report.
Antifeminists are responsible for this damage. Antifeminists have a history of accusing victims of lying constantly (my heart breaks for mattress girl) and enabling rapists. Itās nauseating that you even would pretend to care about victims.
Yep, absolutely no compassion for the victims in here. Especially not from the people who are victims of sexual assault. Like me.
/sarcasm
I didnāt report mine either, mainly because I was severely mentally ill at the time and I was discouraged to do so as they thought it would be equally detrimental to my state of mind. Looking back, I realize I should have done it anyway, but I was young and taking advice from authority figures.
cogneuropsychĀ Compassion for the victims? I have compassion and remorse for anyone who might have been assaulted after I was because I didnāt report it. Because I was manipulated by people like youĀ to not report it.Ā
You want to know the best way to stop rape bias in the justice system? Fucking report it when it happens. Every goddamned time. Start treating sexual assault like the crime it is and maybe they will, too.
Reporting it is always your best option.
But guys reporting and encouraging the reporting fucks over the narrative that feminist theorists in colleges use to keep their tenure, keep getting more students, and all in all that lucrative book and class money. Think of the Femenist Theory Professors.
Seriously, I canāt be the only one noticing whoās doing the massive amount ofĀ āhey girls, donāt report if you get rapedā style bullshit.
Iām rather concerned if itās true that counselors for victims are telling people not to report and also encouraged into believing that rapists are celebrated in our society. That kind of mindset along is detrimental to victims. - Purple
āAntifeminists are responsible for thisā
FOR SUGGESTING THAT YOU SHOULD REPORT TO THE COPS?
Thatās the reach of the fucking century, buddy, and Iāll thank you not to blame this shit on anti-feminists when itās the fault of the rapist.
Victims should be made to feel safe so they can feel secure in coming forward and reporting the crime.
Fuck this. Anyone that tells you not to report a rape, is probably a rapist themselves and want to feel secure in the idea that the fear of reporting will keep them safe. Start treating anyone, ANYONE that tells you itās bad to report a crime, as if they committed the crime themself. Because they fucking would, and they want that safety net of your fear to protect them.
Only criminals tell you not to snitch.
None of mine got reported. I was 6, 14, and 17. And I didnāt report because I was petrified. I was scared. I couldnāt even talk about it until recently and it stills makes me physically ill. I wish I had said something. Then my brother wouldnāt be buddy buddy with one. Then my step brother would be in prison for longer(he got out after sexually assaulting someone else). Then the boyfriend I had would be behind bars, along with his best friends who say in the front seat of the car and laughed while it happened.
I was fucking scared.
But God, I wish I spoke out. I wish something happened to them. I should have said something. I wish someone could have coaxed me into telling the police. My mother. ANYONE. But it didnāt happen.
Survivors. Tell the police. Let justice help you. Let them do something. Ease your mind. Because it fucking eats you up when you donāt.
I told, I told and was called a liar by my mother. I told and had my pubic hair combed by a nurse while the police asked questions likeĀ āis that what you were wearing?ā and āhow much have you had to drink?ā (I was 15, had never drunk)Ā I told and was shunned by my family and sent to foster care where I had a baby at 16. I told and 27 years later my rape kit sits on a shelf with thousands of others. I told and all I needed was someone to say āI believe youā to hold me while I cry, but nobody did, nobody cared. That was worse than the rape part.
> I told and had my pubic hair combed by a nurse while the police asked questions like āis that what you were wearing?ā and āhow much have you had to drink?ā (I was 15, had never drunk)
Police have very, very strict procedures they have to follow for rape. They ask you about clothes so they can test them for the rapistās DNA.
And if you drank before being raped, as many victims do, the defense attorney will use that against you. The authorities need to know so the prosecution can prepare.
Even if you have a slim chance of justice from reporting, thatās better than the virtually-no-chance if you donāt. Unless someone walks in on the rape.
I think you missed the point. Unless we change those āvery strict proceduresā women will continue to hide. What happens to us after the rape is worse than the rape itself. If we do not change the stigma attached to rape victims, girls will continue to give birth in foster care because their families have shunned them.Ā If we continue to let rapists go free because theyāre āgood studentsā (wheres the justice in that) women will never feel comfortable reporting it. Itās shameful, being raped, even when itās not your fault (itās never your fault). Itās shameful and itās isolating and it needs to change. We canāt prevent women from getting raped but we damn sure can change how we respond to them. We could react with empathy and patience and love. Not cold sterile hospital rooms, not invasive shameful questions in a room full of strangers or worse, family. Instead of jumping to āyou have to report right awayā We should respond with āI believe youā
> Unless we change those āvery strict proceduresā women will continue to hide.
Hereās an idea; how about we let women know that cops want to know what they were wearing in order to collect evidence, not victim-blaming?Ā
>What happens to us after the rape is worse than the rape itself.
Nonsense.
>If we do not change the stigma attached to rape victims,
What stigma? M>F rape victims, even alleged ones, are generally seen as more sympathetic in Western nations. Just look at the ongoing Weinstein controversy, or the smoldering, pitiful wreck that used to be Bill Cosbyās career. Or Mattress Girlās frigging award. HEck, evenĀ after the UVa story broke down, some people still blamed the Rolling Stones reporter for listening to a liar instead of the actual liar.
>girls will continue to give birth in foster care because their families have shunned them.
Then thatās a problem with certain families, not society. In other families, someone will go out and kick the alleged rapistās tail (EG Dominic Scullion).
> If we continue to let rapists go free because theyāre āgood studentsā (wheres the justice in that)
Youāre referring to the Brock Turner case. That was one judge, and, safe to say, incredibly controversial. People were protesting outside of his house with guns.
There was a case in the UK where a woman raped a boy for years, and got a slap on the wrist because she came forward. In another case, a pair of twins got off because they were deaf.
>women will never feel comfortable reporting it.
Itās rape. Itās going to be uncomfortable to reportĀ no matter what circumstances itās in.Ā
Women are more scared of myths about rape - including the widespread and incorrect claim that thereās almost no chance of conviction, or the stereotypicalĀ āwalking home alone at nightā rape - than actual police procedure. They can even get advocates to be in their corner.
> Itās shameful, being raped, even when itās not your fault (itās never your fault).
Then why did you even mention āfaultā? What point are you making here?
>Itās shameful and itās isolating and it needs to change.
Thatās a function of the rape, not the circumstances.
I like how you clearly donāt actually give a crap about actual justice, about making sure thereās enough evidence to convict the rapist.Ā
You seem determined to put responsibility for reporting on literally everyone else, to portray women who were raped - and I just want to point out how the discussion was not gendered up until your post* - as helpless little things that have no choice at all.
If thatās āthe pointā you were making, I completely disagree.
In fact, it seems rather sexist.
*Ā Ironically, male rape victims actually are screwed over in almost all the ways you think women are.
^^^^^
Notice, class, how in this very interesting case, feminists, elevating their own selfish dogma above all else, not only trivialise rape by insisting that a necessary police procedure is actually MORE TRAUMATIC THAN THE CRIME ITSELF, but also subtly but ever so surely attempt to take steps towards their ideal āfemale rape accusers should be automatically believedā regime because evidence collecting procedures are ātoo traumatic on womenā and the solution is, OF COURSE, to lower the standards, not e.g. to teach women that evidence collection is not victim-blaming.

reblog if ur a fish whore
āCapitalism made your-ā
No. LABOUR made it. LABOUR made my phone, my laptop, the internet, this website, my clothing, my house, all social media, and everything else. LABOUR makes things, Capitalism doesnāt because economic systems donāt āmakeā anything, they just determine who gets paid for making things.
Fuck it, making a full 3 in a row reblog.
And incentivize different things. For example, communism and socialism incentivized doing nothing, as you make just as much. Capitalism incentivizes innovation, as new and better products can make you filthy rich, and to do more work because you can get paid more than your peers. Guess which one goes to shit every time itās ever been tried?
New and better products cut into profit. Thatās why every new invention was developed by government funding, usually in government facilities. Thatās why capitalists literally throw away newer and better products.
Also, the only reason that capitalism is seen as a success is because its sole purpose is to make the rich richer while the poor suffer and die.
Iām going to frame this and show it to everyone who tells me ānah, man tumblr canāt possibly be that retardedā
Literally every piece of technology you own was developed by the government. And then capitalists stole it, pretended they invented it, and made a fortune off of it. You wouldnāt have internet or cell phones if we let capitalism develop things. Too risky. Risk is bad for profits and bad for capitalism.
Also, every person who dies of starvation on the streets is proof that capitalism is doing its job.
And this one.
I note that you canāt actually refute my statements. Is it because they are too honest? Is it because they are based on research and thus extremely offensive to you.
Itās because every time the state controls the economy innovation comes to a screeching halt and the populace gets genocided you boot licking imbecile.
I think you are confusing socialism with anti-socialist governments like the USSR, Vietnam, Cambodia, North Korea. They all treated their countries like corporations. One guy in charge reaping the benefits. Everyone else just slaves. The ultimate in capitalism.
We have reached crtitical autism mass. Please, for the love of god before you cause another Chernobyl, cut back on the bath salts.
Donāt insult my intelligence just because I actually do research instead of stewing in ignorance.
Canāt insult something that doesnāt exist. Just like how you never hear an insult against a successful socialist state.
The closest we have to socialist states are those found in Europe. They are doing quite well. However, they still have the problem where the capitalist has access to all the profits despite not doing the labour to earn them, so not strictly socialist.
Those are free market capitalist economies that have been telling you mouth breathers to stop calling them socialists for years.
They have government funded welfare. They have health care. Employees receive pay. All three of which are impossible under free market capitalism.
All three happen under the US you inbreed
Yes, all three are instances of how the USA betrayed capitalism.
Somebody get me a garden hose
If the capitalists and their supporters had their way, none of the three would exist. It is only thanks to people who hate capitalism fighting against capitalists that you get paid.
A thick one please
Reblogging as a vote to place in Tumblr hall of shame⦠I mean fame. WOW! š²
A capitalist dollar says @lutheran-ace doesnāt live the life of a socialist.
Judging by the picture no. No socialist state makes enough food to produce the levels of soy required to maintain that look.
@jjaarrr
I know people like that! Thatās funny, green guns and ham! Alaska is especially like that from what I understand.
āGuns protect moral decay I am white, so itās okay!ā
They do realize weāre not trying to take their guns away, per se, we just want there to be some consequences. Some limitations. Maybe if someone shoots out a window/ceiling or whatever whileĀ ācleaningā their gun we hold on to it while they complete a mandatory class on not being criminally negligent? A truly responsible gun owner would have no problem with that because sane people know how safetiesĀ work and to unload guns when they arenāt in use.
Horseshit. You guys never stop with anything less than confiscation. You canāt help yourselves. None of the half measures get the results you want so itās always āJust one more common sense law.āeven when you confiscate, you never get good results. That would be because gun control doesnāt work.
As to your little bullshit example, you obviously have no idea about guns, gun ownership or current laws. How about you can get criminally prosecuted already for such an incident. And you want to lower that to just a safety class? Get a clue.
Iām saying that because my brother shot a hole in our window and ceiling on two non-consecutive occasions while playing with my fatherās guns. He was a minor and he claimed he wasĀ ācleaning itā which seems to be the go-to excuse for gun owners⦠Iām not really sure how thatās supposed to help? Anyway, there were no legal repercussions for either him or my dad⦠no slap on the wrist, no anything. So if there are safety laws, maybe judges should start enforcing them on white people, that would be a good start.
Was it reported to the cops? Was it reported to child protective services? It sounds like you and your siblings should be take away and put in foster care, where you will be perfectly cared for.
Iāll be keeping my guns.
Does this guy think the police just magically know whenever someone accidentally fires their gun?
