a.) she already knows everything about them and does not find it worth commenting on

b.) she has never seen them before either because she has extreme disbelief in the supernatural so strong the horrors cease to be real around her (as evidenced when something is chasing you and you dock there is suddenly no more threat) or because she herself is more powerful than the horrors and they're scared of her

c.) as some other people have pointed out: she herself is an eldritch being (possibly in several locations simultaneously) (then why do you need a boat lol) so she doesn't consider other eldritch beings to be "fish". they're her friends :]

the Hermit and Whaler in Ingfell fell out many times before and they will again

The Travelling Merchant listens to tunes on their radio

The Mayor is embezzling funds

the Airman hallucinates his fellow pilots from back in the war sometimes

The Travelling Merchant occasionally hangs out with all the other NPCS when she visits

The Researcher actually doesn’t like tropical climates at all

Stellar Basin was going bankrupt before the creature attacked

The Ironhaven Corporation have paid off so many people to get drilling rights

I desperately hope the Dockworker recovers because I liked him

The Builder will like Tetris, when it gets invented

The archipelago is written out of several maps

The aberrant fish are in some way a metaphor for the legacy of industrialist capitalism

The Fisherman does not wash. The boat is nowhere near big enough for a shower so he washes in the sea or something idk

the Fisherman and Travelling Merchant do a board game night every so often, maybe they invite the Researcher or Builder

There is actually a really fascinating ecosystem in Twisted Strand but no one will study it because, well, the horrors

There’s a library in Greater Marrow but they threw a bunch out because of something to do with the horrors

the Stellar Basin creature is actually chill and was here first, so, y’know

Ingfell is going to switch its economy to mining and piss off the serpent

the Whales shall return… one day
