But also- Cleo's situation being what Legundo wishes his was, a situation where he literally could not disobey his orders, a situation where he didn't choose to become a monster. Legundo having a level of autonomy that Cleo has never been afforded. The two of them being technically the oldest humans there, except Legundo has had a lifetime where he has been allowed to change and grow and make his own choices and Cleo has only had decades of monotonous constant orders, the same horrible act committed every single day, never really being allowed to mature. Cleo being, according to everyone, a gorgeous vampire, while Legundo is horrible and mangled. Cleo who only wants to survive this situation and Legundo who only wants to die. Cleo who wanted to save Pearl by turning her and Legundo who wanted to save Owen by curing him.
