I, Thiccarus

I was a couple of years behind this cool guy in high school. He was my mentor in at least ONE all-consuming extracurricular. And we seemed to have verrryyyy similar taste in women. Later, still in HS, he confirmed that he too was one of the cognoscienti. Like y'all. Like us. IYKWIM.

Anyway, dude followed a cool life path. Moved to the big city, found a partner, used his brain for work. I followed the same pattern in a different suit.

Parallel lines don't diverge in euclidian space, y'know. Smart math fuckers taught me that. So I wasn't totally surprised when he texted me out of the blue to ask about a life question. I shared my answer, and we got to caching up.

An afternoon later, he texted me my Tumblr username. I was mortified for a second. Only my partner and therapist know about my online presence. So he figured it out. I asked him how.

Direct quote: "the face was obscured but recoqnized the full head of hair and facial structure and frankly, for me, the name was the biggest giveaway because you are delightfully witty ... the biggest giveaway is actually the wit, if said person knows you as well as l do." Fuck. First thing I think is "that's a Wilde accusation." 🥁✨

Next thing I feel is kind of relief? I always thought I'd go into insta-nuke mode if Clark's friend ever said "y'know, without glasses, you look a lot like..." 💀. This art/self-actualization project of mine is so much fun, and is so important to me. And here, out of the blue, I find community, too?? It's an isolating kink nowadays, and I was so worried that once I got clocked IRL, I'd never feel comfortable posting again.

But, no-- here I am. Comfy in my body and loving the sexual energy and confidence I'm manifesting. I can't show my face. That's a hard limit for me, because I don't want to be recognizable. That notwithstanding, it felt good to be ✨recognized✨
