songs i think liam, mason, & corey would play in the truck that would (lovingly) annoy the hell out of theo
anything lady gaga. the truck becomes a concert venue when lady gaga comes on, and theo has to take deep breaths and count to ten to keep it together. he secretly loves it.
mercy by duffy. it came on the radio one time and corey pointed out how it sounds like she's saying birdseed instead of mercy, and now it's something they play intentionally just to shout that line.
bleeding love by leona lewis. same thing with the birdseed song. it comes on the radio and liam mentions how his mom told him she used to think the lyric was about calling someone a banana, and now that line is over-repeated even if the song isn't playing.
pink pony club by chappell roan. one of corey's favorites and it genuinely makes theo seethe. especially that time it was blasting when he pulled up to a red light, and the middle aged man in the truck beside him was giving him odd looks.
you spin me round by dead or alive. makes theo feel like he's actually spinning. he can only get through about a minute of it before he pleads with liam to turn it off. (if he begs enough, liam does.)
how bizzare by omc. another song he can't fucking stand, but for some reason the boys find it so funny. them all singing over top of the lines makes it ten times worse.
teenage dirtbag by wheatus. mason likes to joke how theo would've definitely had an emo phase in middle school if he had the chance. liam likes to imitate the guy's squeaky voice. it's all around hell.
whistle by flo rida. corey actually hates this song, but he likes to play it to watch theo squirm. liam doesn't understand the actual meaning of the lyrics until his fourth listen.
the home depot theme song. every once in a while, liam puts this in the queue, and when it comes on, it scares the hell out of theo and then instantly becomes annoying.
anything by britney spears. mason has a diabolical amount of britney on his phone, and theo hates just about every song. he does, however, love to glance over at liam as he tries to decode the actual message. he actually laughed when the boy confessed he thought '3' was about the bible until his mom gently corrected him.
mamma mia. self explanatory. they like to sing along. theo likes to check his map and see how much time is left in the drive.
i know the end by phoebe bridgers. it's such a complete 180° from what they usually play, but corey likes to listen to it when he's in his feels. theo liked the song until liam asked him if he was crying one time and they all got bug-eyed over the fact that he did, in fact, have a few evident tears. the end of the song gives him anxiety, though. scott street makes him cry even harder.
hotel room service. they sing it louder than they should. it attracts gazes in public places.
come on eileen by dexys midnight runners. this song was already annoying as hell, but then stiles ruined it completely when he once said, "come on eileen? i barely know her," after a pack meet when they were innocently playing music. it turned heads. now it's hilarious to the boys whenever it comes on the radio. if theo sees the song title pop up on the screen before it starts to play, he'll move really fast to change it before they notice.
50 ways to say goodbye by train. theo choked on his coffee the first time he misheard one of the lyrics and the boys immediately went into hysterics. luckily, the song is so fast-paced, it's too hard for them to keep up to sing along. unluckily, they break out into childish laughter that keeps them rolling for minutes after each time they hear the misheard lyric again.
