Currently reading: Uhh.... in terms of books, This Book May Save Your Life by Dr. Karan Rajan because I like topical medicine and physiology. It's still pretty jargon-y for a non-science audience imo, but I enjoy it for what it is. In terms of reading, I've been crying over my latest re-read through @seiwas conversations on love (on AO3 under @/shotorus). It is such a tender testimony to the character of Gojo Satoru, it moves my world every time I come back to read it.

Last song: Dangerous from EPIC: The Musical. I like the musical as a whole, but Dangerous has that 80s synthpop that earned it its own spot in my rotation :3 (additional honorable mention, I recently found Hideki Saijo's 1984 Japanese cover of Careless Whisper and I'm OBSESSED with his voice.)

Last film: oooo.... technically Captain America: Civil War, the first twenty minutes of it with my dad before he got tired and went to bed LOL

Last series: The closest thing would be the chronological compilation of the animatics of EPIC: The Musical on YouTube that my little sister had me watch with her. The musical has been on my radar for a while but I hadn't actually sat down to watch/listen to it in its entirety and I really enjoyed it. My sister was very enthused.

Sweet/salty/savory: Savory, probably? I always assumed savory was along similar lines to salty, but if there's a distinction then the more bodied savory is probably more accurate to my taste....?

Tea or coffee: With sugar is needed for both, I'm not a huge caffeine person so I usually go with mushroom coffee for "need to get stuff done" and tea for comfort.

Favorite color: Dark colors, always. Midnight blues and purples. Deep reds and rich greens. I can't tack down one color.

Currently reading: Not as much as I should. I've been trying to read Atomic Habits by James Clear for self-improvement, but I'm also trying to read The Hobbit by Tolkien to try and get back to reading regularly again. No fanfics had been holding or catching my attention, which is weird for me :(

Last song: Currently Lofi Girl's pomodoro livestream as I answer comments. But an actual song I can name would be The Death of Love by Cradle of Filth. I've been on a semi-fantasy kick lately since I've started playing Baldur's Gate 3.

Last film: Trap. Good psychological thriller, suspenseful, messed up, and uncomfortable in all the right ways. M. Knight Shyamalan's films have always been a hit and miss with me, and the nepotism is a little annoying, but Josh Hartnett CARRIES these scenes on his shoulders.

Last series: Just finished all seasons of Rings of Power (I take forever to get to a series) and I really don't know why so many people hated it when it first came out. I'm glad I gave it a chance because I enjoyed it.

Sweet/salty/savory: I can easily switch between the three like someone changing weapon sets. It really depends on my mood.

Tea or coffee: Coffee in the morning. Black, like my metal. Tea in the afternoon to keep me going. Sometimes I get fancy with milk and sugar. Been addicted to London Fogs lately.

Working on: Myself. My garden. My home. My writing. I'm looking forward to this hiatus so I can focus on recovering from this burnout.

Favorite Color: Blue in almost any shade. I'm really fond of yellows and oranges too though.

Currently Reading: A Manhwa named Secret Lady, but I'm only on chapter 4 or so because I just started last night. I'm also trying to improve my reading habit, and got kick-started back into reading with Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faerie, which has just enough dark/horror elements to make it a good fantasy read.

Last Song: Moonshine by Bruno Mars. I just purchased his "Unorthodox Jukebox" album and that's the one that's on repeat while I draw atm.

Last Film: Hellboy (2004). It was on the "Watch for Free" rotation a few weeks ago and it's a movie I enjoy. I like a lot of early 2000s fantasy, but something about Ron Perlman's portrayal of Hellboy makes me happy when I watch it.

Last Series: I've been slowly working my way through Star Trek (the original series) in the evenings while I knit(Don't come after me, I know I'm an old lady). I haven't found any anime that've held my attention nor any new shows that've grabbed my interest so I'm on a rerun marathon when I sit down to watch something.

Sweet/Salty/Savory: I'm also a big switch between all three, it depends on when you catch me and offer me food. If I had to make a definite choice, I'd probably pick savory but sweet is a close second.

Tea or Coffee: Coffee in the morning, sugar and milk. Tea any other time (switching up between no sugar or just one lump and a splash of cream) but I'm more of a water drinker. I'm not picky about my coffee roast but I hate flavored coffees. Earl Grey is my favorite tea but I won't turn down a good cup of Prince of Wales or Lapsang Souchong.

Working On: Trying to draw a cohesive original comic so I can say I did it. Keeping myself out of anxiety-fueled depression and getting out of the leftover 2024 funk. Finishing the stupid sweater that's been on my knitting needles for FIVE YEARS. (I hate knitting sweaters, and have no clue why I even started it)

Favorite Color: A toughie from the very start. I guess if I had to choose a baseline, I would pick purple of pretty much any shade (light or dark). I’m actually very fond of quite a few colors, though. 

Currently Reading: I’m actually rereading Snow White with the Red Hair right now, and I’m enjoying every bit of it. I’ve unfortunately been dealing with a bit of a dry spell in terms of reading lately. I have been enjoying the Emily Wilde series, though, but I haven’t gotten to read the third book yet.

Last Song: “LoveDrug” by Lady Gaga. I want to write something while listening to it (for the vibe, for lack of a better explanation), but it's been dodging me thus far.

Last Film: Hellboy (2004). Weirdly enough, it's a bit of a comfort movie for me, and watching it has led to me having yet another possible WIP on my hands. I won’t go into detail in case it doesn’t end up happening, though.

Last Series: Star Trek, the original series. I’ve never actually watched much of this one and got introduced to it at right around the end of last year by my mom and sister, so we’ve been going through it very slowly.

Sweet/Salty/Savory: Honestly depends on the moment. Sometimes I really crave sweets, but other times salty flavors hit just right, and then at entirely other instances I adore savory. At this particular moment I would have to say sweet, though, but I’m trying to be good since I’ve been overdoing it a bit lately XD.

Tea or Coffee: Again, this one depends (what can I say? I really like food). If it's the morning or if I’m having breakfast food, I want coffee (always with sugar and milk; I’m a big baby that way). I really like tea as well, though. My sister recently introduced me to drinking hot tea, and I’ve been really enjoying it. I like Earl Grey and English Breakfast blend in particular (again, still with sugar and milk).

Working On: I have too many WIPs for my other fanfic account (it-happened-one-fic) XD. I’m working on finishing up my Genshin Impact MerMay series (which has only one chapter left for writing/editing/posting!) and my vampire Twisted Wonderland AU. I’m also currently in two Twisted Wonderland zines (my first ones!). I’m eternally working on college, but I'm about to finish my current master's degree and move on to the next one, after which I’ll be done, so that will be nice!

Favorite Color: This is a tough one…I tend to like pastels, with a strong tie between a soft pink and a good blue. I also really love all different shades of blue-green, like sea foam or sea glass (aka ocean type colors).

Currently Reading: If we’re only counting novels, then I’m currently rotating through The Disabled Tyrant’s Pet Fish Vol. 2, Legend of Exorcism Vol. 1, The Case File of Jeweler Richard Vol. 10, Dahlia in Bloom Vol. 9 and Lady Bumpkin and Her Lord Villain Vol. 4. I am through and through a mood reader and will often pick up and drop books at random. I’ve given myself a reading goal each year for 3 years running now and this year’s goal is 50 books, with the extra challenge that I don’t count manga. (I’m currently at 14 out of 50!)

Last Song: “Would That I” by Hozier, but an edit that is just all the soft parts.

Last Film: “Pride & Prejudice” (2005). I watched the 20th anniversary theatre screening with my best friend! This is absolutely a comfort movie to me and watching the anniversary screening was such a magical experience, it was like seeing the film for the first time all over again.

Last Series: Wind Breaker season 1. (In July of 2024!) It’s been had for me to find shows that hook my interest, which is why it’s been so long since I’ve watched a series, and just read manga instead, but Wind Breaker is such a good anime.

Sweet/Salty/Savory: I am a huge sweet tooth and it actually bothers me when a food tastes “too savory” for me. I do enjoy a good sweet-salty combo though. (Interestingly enough, though, I strongly prefer my breakfast to be savory.)

Tea or Coffee: A younger me would’ve said neither, but this past year I’ve discovered that I actually really like chai! I like it hot or as a “tea latte.” I often prefer to have it with my breakfast, or in the afternoon with a small sweet treat.

Working On: I’ve no real creative projects going on lately, it’s most just unfinished drafts of ideas I have that fizzle out after a few paragraphs because my creative flow has just been crappy the past 3 years ever since my uncle and grandma passed away. For now, I’m just working on finishing the school year (I’m a history teacher, not a student, btw.) Hopefully the end of the school year let’s me try to redirect some energy into more creative projects.

Currently Reading: Outside of actual books; ZZZ Lighter fanfics recently. But in terms of physical books; I need to get back to reading Vicious by V.E. Schwab because the parts I've read so far got me really hooked (and then I set it out of sight on accident and forgot about it), but a friend recommended it to me, so I really need to read more

Last Song: Listening to music as I write this, so the song playing right now is "Feather" by Sabrina Carpenter

Last Film: The Barbie Movie (It's a comfort movie)

Last Series: The Walking Dead, but I also actively try to keep up with what's happening in the DC comics realm (specifically with Nightwing)

Sweet/Salty/Savory: I love sweets so much, but I tend to snack a lot on more salty things. Depending on the sweets, I might have some throughout the day, but I do try and restrain myself!

Tea or Coffee: Neither? I don't like either that much. Usually I'm drinking soda or water throughout the day, or some flavored water

Working On: I currently have like 7 requests in my drafts and about 42 in my inbox, but I'm actively working on two Jaxon requests and a accidentally proposing to Sebek (twst) request!

Currently Reading: Ummmm Been off and on with reading to be honest, so Im still stuck On Inkheart by Cornelia Funke.

Last Song: Against the Tide (The Captain's Tarantella), by Sail North. Was originally listening to random songs after my Playlist ended for a character. What I was met with was some of my own songs I saved on my liked Playlist. This happened to be one of them. Its a banger.

Last Film: Fear Street: Prom Queen, I dont really watch movies a whole lot, but I absolutely adored the Fear Street Triology, to the point as soon as that movie was out on Netflix. I ran to it like there was no tommorow.

Last Series: Records of Ragnarok, watching it with my partner. Can't stop myself at screaming it, yet still supringsly interesting. And this is a series I normally dont watch as I tend to well more, Pure fantasy or adventure shows.

Sweet/Salty/Savory: Sweets. Yes, I have been craving sweets for a while. I dont eat them 24/7 but I really reallllyyy wish I could. I would give my soul to be able to eat sweets 24/7.

Tea or Coffee?: Tea, I adore it so much to the point I actually want to learn how to start growing my own blends of tea and make it from scratch myself. Annnnd also, I want to st least throw my own Tea Parties for lunch.

Working On: Well, Umm I'm an Artist so, What Im currently working on is Practice. I am Drawing "Cover Art" for each of my characters in Cursed Kingdom. Then once I finish with those, I plan to take the time to look over mistakes and Practice, learn what I need to learn and then go from there. After thats done, I plan to recreate the cover art I did before the practice, to see any improvements.
