Oh stop, so sweet of you. Working with John ended up being one of the best experiences of my career, genuinely. I was actually nervous about it at first because everyone always warns you not to work with your partner, but it completely surprised me in the best way. Watching him direct, and in his element, stunned me a bit. He has this way of walking into a room and completely shifting the atmosphere without forcing it. Everything felt very instinctive and collaborative between us. And weirdly, instead of driving us insane, it brought us closer. We start filming the third one next week, which still feels surreal to say out loud. Apparently none of us are emotionally capable of letting this world go yet. How's everything on your end, darling? i wouldn't exactly suggest taking pages out of my book, but go for it. i think things are a bit different when you're under a contract like mine, because i rarely get the chance to stay in one place for long before i'm whisked off somewhere else. being in the military has felt like a vacation compared to my life outside the barracks. maybe one day i'll get to explore paris the way you have and actually experience the culture for once. yeah? what's stopping you from coming here? i mean, i obviously have to represent so i don't piss off my sponsors: south korea is the best place on earth. there's no place like korea.

that's such a wild statement to hear, when the military isn't exactly people's first choice when it comes to a career. but i'm remembering that it's required duty in korea, right? i think it's a must for you. maybe someday, if we both spare the time, we can go to paris together. work is all my life's been about lately, so korea hasn't been a priority when i'm already traveling so much for different film projects here and there. but i'll have to hit you up on the best spots to visit when i finally get some time to breathe and plan a trip there.

i'm stoked that it's finally out and i can stop worrying about spoiling anything. you have no idea how many people keep bugging me for spoilers and i was shit scared of slipping up something huge. sam has a very specific vision for the characters and it's been fun to play around with who Nate is. he's a bad dude and i kind of love playing him because of that. he's always doing something shitty and i rarely get cast in villainous roles, so i'm loving it. you saw it? that's brilliant. i love working with Emerald, she's so cool and talented. so, when are getting to work together again? once is just not enough and i'd love to do a period piece with you. you've had so many amazing performances in the last few years, i especially loved blue moon. that's such an underrated performance from you.

that's too relatable. it's so hard to keep your mouth shut after you've been living and breathing a project, you know? especially one that you're so excited for. i'm grateful for the people around me who i know i can trust with any secret and it won't get out. i don't like to think of characters are good or bad, it's too black or white for me. although nate, i'd argue, has a lot of room for improvement. it's cool to see you flex your acting as a villain, and that's the beauty of being an actor, isn't it? to try on different roles and experiment. crazy to think just this time last year we were filming in italy together and now our movie's about to come out in a couple months. i haven't really done many period films and since you're seasoned with it now, there's no one better i can think of to star in one with. thank you so much, i enjoyed doing that movie and a compliment means even more coming from you. are you looking forward to napa? a break is just what i need right now.
